Position Summary:

Travere Therapeutics is seeking an experienced and strategic scientist to join our Research and Nonclinical Development organization as Director, Translational Immunology. This individual will serve as a key scientific leader supporting an assigned development program primarily for rare-kidney disease and will play an important role in advancing translational and nonclinical strategies across current and future indications.

The successful candidate will bring deep expertise in immunology and immune-mediated disease, including a strong understanding of B-cell biology combined with experience supporting clinical-stage drug development programs. Knowledge of kidney disease would be an advantage. This individual will work closely with Clinical Development, Clinical Pharmacology, Biometrics, Regulatory, Medical Affairs, and external collaborators to develop translational strategies, support nonclinical development activities, evaluate emerging scientific opportunities, and help identify additional indications where the asset may also provide meaningful therapeutic benefit.

This role also represents an opportunity to contribute to the growth of immunology capabilities within a dynamic Research and Nonclinical Development organization and to assume increasing scientific leadership responsibilities as the organization expands.

Responsibilities:

Program Leadership and Scientific Strategy

Serve as the immunology lead supporting a late-stage clinical development program.

Contribute to the development and execution of nonclinical and translational strategies aligned with program team objectives.

Partner with cross-functional teams to support program governance, development planning, and scientific decision-making.

Assess emerging scientific, clinical, and competitive developments relevant to assigned program and associated strategy.

Contribute to the identification and evaluation of new therapeutic opportunities in rare disease for the assigned program that may provide clinical benefit.

Translational Science and Biomarkers

Develop translational strategies linking mechanism of action, target engagement, pharmacodynamic activity, and clinical outcomes.

Support identification and implementation of mechanistic, pharmacodynamic, predictive, and response biomarkers.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support implementation of biomarker strategies and data interpretation throughout development.
