Job Title: Construction Manager 3
Job Description
This role oversees the planning, direction, and coordination of data center construction activities within a highly dynamic and innovative environment. The Construction Manager 3 works remotely and travels frequently to multiple data center development sites across the United States to monitor progress, validate reported status, and support continuous improvement in construction execution for advanced AI capacity projects.
Responsibilities
Travel to multiple GPUaaS data center development sites in the United States at least once per month for each assigned project.
Tour active construction sites with the service provider's on-site team to inspect and validate progress on data center facilities construction.
Compare actual construction progress with reported status and identify discrepancies, risks, and issues that may affect schedule or quality.
Assess whether construction activities are on schedule and, when delays occur, forecast revised timelines to key milestone completion.
Capture lessons learned, best practices, and new ideas from each site visit to support continuous improvement in data center construction execution.
Report all findings, risks, and recommendations clearly and promptly to the GPUaaS project manager.
Apply knowledge of production processes, quality control, and cost management to help optimize construction execution and resource utilization.
Use project management tools and methodologies to support planning, scheduling, and progress tracking for data center construction projects.
Collaborate effectively with internal and external stakeholders to ensure alignment on project goals, timelines, and deliverables.
Maintain accurate documentation and records of site observations, progress assessments, and improvement recommendations.

Proficiency with computer software such as Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Project, and Visio.
Bachelor's degree in business administration or a related field.
5-7 years of experience in construction, planning, and construction execution, with a focus on data center construction.
At least 5 years of experience in data center construction execution.
At least 5 years of experience in construction planning.
At least 5 years of experience in progress tracking for construction projects.
Experience in crew supervision, project planning, progress tracking, and broad construction execution.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
PMI or PMP certification is preferred.
Experience working on large-scale, complex construction projects, particularly in technology or data center environments.
Demonstrated ability to capture lessons learned and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
Interest in learning and applying different contracting methods for AI capacity projects.
Motivation to build relationships and collaborate with a variety of companies and professionals across the industry.
Work Environment
This is a remote role with significant travel, requiring approximately 75% travel to multiple data center development sites across the United States. The typical schedule is based on a 40-hour workweek, with an estimated 10-hour workday structure, and includes monthly site visits to data center locations. The work environment combines office-based tasks, such as documentation and reporting using tools like Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Project, and Visio, with frequent on-site inspections in active construction areas. On-site work takes place in data center construction environments that may involve exposure to varying weather conditions, noise, and typical construction site hazards. Appropriate safety attire and equipment are required, including a monitor, keyboard, headset, and mouse for remote work, as well as a Class 2 safety helmet, Class 2 or higher safety vest, cut and impact resistant gloves, ANSI Z87.1 or higher safety glasses or visor, composite toe work boots made of leather or leather alternative that extend at least 4 inches above the ankle, and a Class 2 or higher reflective jacket suitable for cold and wet weather. The role offers exposure to innovative AI-related infrastructure projects and provides the opportunity to learn new contracting methods and collaborate with a wide range of organizations and professionals.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $70.00 - $87.00/hr.
