The Opportunity:
The Sr Director, Head of Material Management & Supply Chain is responsible for leading a proactive, analytical end-to-end Supply Chain and Materials Management program for the Holly Springs, large volume DP manufacturing site. The role is responsible for initially establishing all associated systems and processes for a Greenfield manufacturing site, including strategic supply planning, material sourcing, warehouse & logistics, establishing the site S&OP process, establishing the planning cycle, SAP workflows and masterdata strategy. The ideal candidate will bring lean supply chain principles and world-class supply planning experience to develop an indusry leading supply-chain operation driving top-decile end-to-end material flow and customer service performance at the Holly Springs site. This role is expected to bring digital transformation tools, AI analytics and the latest in innovative supply chain technology to augment traditional supply chain processes, to include setup of a fully automated warehousing operation.
The Head of Material Management and Supply Chain will also input to the site Long Range Planning process and support the site's long-term strategic product portfolio, longer-range capacity modeling and strategic master planning. The role will be a member of the Holly Springs Site Leadership Team - steering and executing both short- and long-term site strategy.
You will lead planning and scheduling of all end-to-end production operations and material flow from incoming material management through release.
You will oversee all internal and 3PL Warehouse & Logistics operations supporting the site.
You will be accountable to Manage Master Data (MMD) strategy, Manage Logistics Distribution (MLD) and Plan and Schedule Resources (PSR) Business Process Manager (BPM) roles
You will lead and oversee monitoring, analysis and reporting of supply and inventory positions for the Manufacturing Unit, accountable for Customer Service levels out of Holly Springs, and overall material Inventory management in Holly Springs.
You will partner with Global Planning and other site Leadership team members to assess production plan feasibility and production scenarios for future strategic planning. You will partner with Network strategy planning to communicate the Manufacturing Unit's capacity and capability for Long-range plans
You embody PT lean leadership principles and methods while fostering a continuous improvement mindset, driving Operational Excellence across the Supply chain function.
As a site leadership team member, you will drive collaboration within site and across network activities, cross-functional planning, and decision making.
You will be an active and visible change agent, promoting flexible and open mindsets to new opportunities.
You will be accountable for overall budget and financial performance of the Supply Chain organization.
You will proactively promote positive Safety Culture and cGMP operating principles in the warehouses.
Who you are:
You have a Bachelors Degree required (supply chain, logistics, science, business, engineering or other relevant discipline preferred)
You have 12 or more years' work experience in the pharmaceutical, food or regulated consumer goods industry managing high production volumes
You have 8 or more years' people management experience
You have 10 or more years' supply chain management or related experience
You have knowledge of supply chain management industry best practices and academic principles, practices and standards relevant to the pharmaceutical and cGMP environment
You have knowledge of materials management, logistics, purchasing and supply chain systems
You possesses strong verbal and written communication skills and the ability to influence at all levels.
You are able to build trustful and effective relationships
You are able to think strategically and translate strategies into actionable plans
You take responsibility, drives results, and achieves expected outcomes
Preferred:
Graduate or higher-level Degree
APICS, CPIM or CIRM certification
The expected salary range for this position based on the primary location for this position of Holly Springs is $161,000 - $299,000. Actual pay will be determined based on experience, level, qualifications, geographic location, and other job-related factors permitted by law. A discretionary annual bonus may be available based on individual and Company performance. This position also qualifies for the benefits detailed at the link provided below.
