Job Title: Electrical Wire Harness Technician
Job Description
This role focuses on assembling, repairing, and reworking electrical wire harnesses for aircraft components. You will interpret work orders and technical documentation, perform precise electrical work on connectors and terminations, and ensure all harnesses meet quality and testing standards while maintaining accurate documentation.
Responsibilities
Read and interpret work orders, diagrams, form boards, and wire lists to determine required materials and the proper sequence of assembly.
Assemble and rework electrical wire harnesses for aircraft components according to specifications and quality standards.
Rework connectors, back shells, wire terminations, splices, split rings, lugs, and any other components built into a wire harness.
Wrap and tie wires neatly and securely to meet safety and performance requirements.
Route wires correctly through harnesses and assemblies, following diagrams and routing instructions.
Change routing and breakouts as needed to accommodate design updates or repair requirements.
Perform electrical tests on wire harnesses to verify functionality, continuity, and compliance with specifications.
Identify and troubleshoot issues in wire harness assemblies and perform necessary repairs.
Complete all associated paperwork accurately, including test records, work order documentation, and repair logs.
Follow established procedures and safety guidelines while working with electrical components and tools.
Collaborate with team members to maintain productivity and meet production and repair deadlines.
Essential Skills
At least 1 year of aircraft electrical experience, specifically working with wire harnesses and aircraft components.
Strong ability to read and interpret work orders, diagrams, form boards, and wire lists.
Hands-on experience with wire harness assembly and repair.
Proficiency in reworking connectors, back shells, wire terminations, splices, split rings, lugs, and related harness components.
Ability to perform electrical tests on wire harnesses and interpret test results.
Experience with troubleshooting and repairing electrical harness issues.
Attention to detail and precision in wrapping, tying, and routing wires.
Capability to complete associated paperwork accurately and in a timely manner.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Experience in aircraft components or aerospace electrical work.
Familiarity with repair and troubleshooting processes for complex electrical assemblies.
Comfort working from detailed technical documentation and following established procedures.
Strong organizational skills to manage multiple work orders and tasks.
Ability to adapt to changing routing and breakout requirements in harness designs.

Work Environment
You will work as part of a team of approximately 15-20 employees in a production and repair environment focused on aircraft electrical wire harnesses. Candidates need to be available for both 1st and 3rd shift schedules. The 3rd shift runs Monday through Thursday from 9:30 p.m. to 6:30 a.m. (starting Sunday night) and Friday from 9:30 p.m. to 4:30 a.m. The dress code requires jeans, a work shirt, and closed-toe shoes, suitable for a hands-on technical setting.Ex

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $22.00/hr.
