Job Title: Manufacturing Lead

The Manufacturing Lead is responsible for ensuring efficient, accurate, safe, and timely production of regulated products. This role involves providing daily direction and leadership to manufacturing technicians, operating manufacturing equipment, and communicating effectively with leadership regarding team needs and capabilities. The Manufacturing Lead also identifies areas for improvement and drives continuous improvement while mentoring and coaching manufacturing technicians.
Responsibilities
Perform all work in compliance with company policy and quality system guidelines.
Provide daily direction to team members to ensure timely manufacturing according to policies.
Manufacture, assemble, and ship regulated products and sub-assemblies, including medical devices.
Operate production equipment within controlled environments.
Maintain records in compliance with regulatory requirements and standard operating procedures.
Review timecards for accuracy and policy compliance.
Support training and progression of team members.
Monitor and escalate employee relations issues.
Lead team meetings and conduct regular check-ins and one-on-ones.
Follow established instructions and written guidelines to perform job functions.
Maintain organization and cleanliness of manufacturing areas.
Assist with in-process testing to ensure batches meet specifications.
Identify opportunities to improve processes, tooling, equipment, assembly methods, materials, and parts.
Assist with maintenance activities.
Provide mentorship and coaching to manufacturing technicians.
Contribute positively to team culture and embody the company's values.
Comply with company policies and procedures.
Follow all safety rules and precautions.
Access employee and/or patient PHI and ePHI as needed for job functions.
Become an authorized user in one or more facility areas.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Essential Skills
High school diploma or equivalent; Associate's degree in a technical field preferred.
Minimum of 5 years of manufacturing/operations experience, including at least 1 year in medical device manufacturing.
Experience handling radioactive materials in a controlled environment required.
Ability to communicate tasks and instructions effectively.
Collaboration skills with cross-functional teams.
Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities.
Ability to read and interpret SOPs and work instructions.
Basic math skills, including whole numbers, fractions, decimals, averages, rates, and percentages.
Data interpretation skills, such as reading bar graphs.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
Willingness to work a flexible schedule.
Ability to travel as needed.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Experience with medical device tooling.
Quality inspector skills.
Familiarity with caliper and micrometer.
Experience in production, assembly, laboratory, and packaging environments.

Work Environment
The role involves working in office space, supply room, laboratory, and clean room environments. Frequent exposure to hazardous materials requires proper PPE and safety precautions. The position is primarily stationary with some movement between areas, frequent use of computers and office equipment, and regular lifting of items up to 50 lbs. Occasional evening or weekend work and overnight travel may be required.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $26.00 - $30.00/hr.
