Job Title: 2nd Shift Press Brake Operator
Job Description
The 2nd Shift Press Brake Operator plays a critical role in the manufacturing process by accurately bending and shaping metal components according to precise specifications. Working Monday through Thursday from 4:30 p.m. to 2:30 a.m., this position ensures production goals are met by operating press brake machinery safely, efficiently, and with a strong focus on quality and adherence to safety standards.
Responsibilities
Operate press brake machinery to bend and form metal components according to detailed technical drawings and blueprints.
Set up press brake equipment, including selecting and installing appropriate tooling, dies, and fixtures for each job.
Interpret and follow blueprints and technical drawings to achieve precise dimensions, bend angles, and tolerances.
Use precision measuring tools such as calipers and micrometers to verify part dimensions and ensure quality standards are met.
Perform basic calculations to determine bend angles, dimensions, and material allowances required for each job.
Monitor machine performance during operation and make necessary adjustments to maintain accuracy and efficiency.
Follow OSHA safety regulations and best practices while operating equipment and working on the production floor.
Inspect finished parts for quality, accuracy, and conformance to specifications, and identify any defects or issues.
Maintain a clean and organized work area to support safety, efficiency, and smooth workflow on the production line.
Collaborate with team members and shift personnel to meet production schedules and support continuous improvement in manufacturing processes.
Essential Skills
Previous experience operating press brake machinery or similar metal fabrication equipment.
Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints.
Familiarity with CNC press brake programming and operation.
Knowledge of OSHA safety regulations and best practices.
Ability to use precision measuring tools such as calipers and micrometers.
Basic math skills for measuring and calculating bend angles and dimensions.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety standards.
Experience working in a manufacturing environment with shift work.
Blueprint reading skills.
Press brake operation skills.
Metal fabrication skills.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent.
Certification in press brake operation or metal fabrication is a plus.
Experience with CNC equipment in a production environment.
Ability to work consistently on a 2nd shift schedule, Monday through Thursday 4:30 p.m. to 2:30 a.m.
Ability to follow written and verbal instructions and work effectively as part of a production team.

Work Environment
This role is based in a manufacturing facility on 2nd shift, working Monday through Thursday from 4:30 p.m. to 2:30 a.m. You will operate press brake and CNC equipment in a production environment that emphasizes safety, efficiency, and adherence to OSHA regulations. Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $28.00/hr.
