Overview

The HVAC Area Operations Support Manager , reporting to the Regional General Manager, is responsible for financial operational support, including budgets, forecasts, reports, and cash management. This position will also grow. to include additional business functions such as overseeing regional dispatch team, estimators, and coordinators, as well as perform moderate accounting activities associated with maintaining operational financial reporting. Works under general supervision following clearly defined procedures and policies.

Base salary: $110,000-140,000. The pay listed is the hourly range or the hourly rate for this position. A specific offer will vary based on applicant's experience, skills, abilities, geographic location, and alignment with market data.

Responsibilities

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Responsible for the operational financial performance of the area.

Develop and implement cost control measures and service standards to ensure compliance with contract requirements.

Effectively apply and support consistent use of policies, procedures, programs, and systems.

Responsible for the financial delivery of operational budgets, forecasts, reports, cash management.

To ensure business goals are met, analyze operational reports, focus on key metrics, and use data to drive informed decisions and improvement.

Oversee safety, inspections, quality control measures, and inventory control of equipment and supplies for the area.

Effectively direct work assignments, evaluating employee performance, conduct problem resolution, and disciplining employees ensuring discipline and termination practices are fair and consistent.

Assist with implementation of operational improvements to increase margin growth.

Assist in driving area sales by operationally supporting sales efforts with the sales team and estimators.

Collaborate with Area Operations Support Manager to identify areas for improvement and implement changes for a better client experience through timely and clear communication.

Develop, evaluate, and analyze key operational performance metrics based on company goals and expectations.

Provide support for special projects as assigned by Area General Manager.

Qualifications

JOB REQUIREMENTS

Required

5+ years HVAC management experience with in-depth knowledge and understanding of HVAC and refrigeration systems.

Ability to work across multiple business units and support other divisions of the company.

Excellent leadership skills to enhance team productivity and standards of work produced.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills and strong conflict management skills.

Detail oriented and highly organized with the ability to handle multiple tasks and assignments.

Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, Outlook, and general software navigation.

Possess a strong personal desire for improvement and the desire to motivate employees to do the same.

Ability and willingness to work a non-standard schedule including nights, weekends and holidays as required.

May require up to 50% travel. A valid driver's license is required.
