Job Description
The 2nd Shift Cycle Counter maintains accurate inventory records across warehouse, bulk storage, and production lineside locations. This role performs daily cycle counts, investigates discrepancies, supports production with timely material availability, and ensures all materials are properly labeled, stored, and recorded in the ERP system. The position requires strong attention to detail, effective problem solving, and comfort working with material handling equipment in a fast-paced manufacturing and warehouse environment on the second shift.
Responsibilities
Perform daily cycle counts of inventory across warehouse, bulk storage, and production lineside locations to maintain high levels of inventory accuracy.
Verify physical inventory against ERP system records and ensure alignment with system data.
Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies, including overages, shortages, and mislocated materials, and identify root causes of variances.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to prevent recurrence of inventory issues and improve inventory control processes.
Verify inventory availability for production lines and sub-assembly areas to support uninterrupted production.
Support material searches for missing or misplaced parts that impact production schedules.
Confirm correct part numbers, quantities, and storage locations for all materials handled.
Assist with inventory adjustments and corrections within the ERP system to reflect accurate stock levels.
Maintain accurate location management for all materials, ensuring records match physical locations.
Support implementation and execution of ABC cycle counting programs.
Validate part labeling, barcodes, and storage standards to ensure traceability and compliance with internal logistics procedures.
Ensure materials are stored in correct locations and labeled properly according to established standards.
Identify opportunities to improve inventory accuracy and warehouse organization, and propose practical solutions.
Support process improvements related to inventory control and material flow throughout the facility.
Assist with physical inventory activities as needed, including full inventory counts and audits.
Conduct comprehensive verification of products using RF scanners, SAP, and Excel spreadsheets.
Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment to move materials safely across racks, bulk storage, lineside, and specialized departments with system-assigned locations.
Cross-check inventory contents against manufacturing labels, validating part numbers, quantities, and correct departmental processing according to receiving protocols.
Maintain data integrity by identifying and resolving discrepancies in inventory records to support real-time traceability and compliance with internal logistics standards.
Document findings, adjustments, and corrective actions clearly and accurately to support audit readiness and continuous improvement.
Essential Skills
High school diploma or equivalent.
1-3 years of experience in warehouse, inventory control, or manufacturing environments preferred.
Experience working with ERP systems such as Epicor, SAP, Oracle, or similar platforms preferred.
Proficiency with RF scanners for inventory verification and tracking.
Ability to operate forklifts and pallet jacks safely; forklift certification or the ability to obtain certification preferred.

Work Environment
The role is based in a modern, air-conditioned manufacturing and warehouse facility that incorporates industry 4.0 technology and supports a green industry transformation. The standard schedule is Monday through Thursday from 5:00 p.m. to 3:30 a.m. on second shift with a shift differential, and training initially takes place on first shift. There is currently mandatory work on Fridays to meet production deadlines. The position requires frequent walking throughout warehouse and production areas, standing for extended periods, and occasional stooping, kneeling, crouching, and climbing portable ladders. Employees lift and move up to approximately 35 pounds and regularly operate material handling equipment such as forklifts and pallet jacks. Personal protective equipment is required, and the role demands good manual dexterity and multi-limb coordination to safely handle materials and equipment in an active manufacturing and warehouse environment.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $23.00/hr.
