We are seeking an experienced Lead OFCI (Owner-Furnished Contractor-Installed) Manager to oversee all OFCI equipment procurement, logistics, delivery coordination, installation readiness, and turnover activities for a large-scale $400M+ data center construction project.
This individual will serve as the primary liaison between the owner, general contractor, equipment manufacturers, vendors, logistics providers, commissioning teams, and trade partners to ensure critical mission-critical equipment is delivered, tracked, protected, installed, and commissioned in accordance with project milestones.
The ideal candidate will have 7-15 years of experience supporting large-scale data center construction projects, with extensive knowledge of mission-critical infrastructure, long-lead equipment procurement, supply chain management, logistics coordination, scheduling, and commissioning requirements.
This role is highly visible and requires exceptional coordination, communication, and problem-solving skills to manage schedule-sensitive equipment that directly impacts project delivery.
Key Responsibilities
OFCI Program Leadership
Lead all OFCI activities from procurement through final turnover.
Act as the primary point of contact for owner-furnished equipment and materials.
Develop and maintain comprehensive OFCI tracking systems, workflows, and reporting tools.
Coordinate closely with owners, project executives, project managers, superintendents, schedulers, commissioning teams, and vendors.
Drive accountability across all stakeholders to ensure equipment is delivered and installed according to schedule.
Procurement & Vendor Management
Manage relationships with equipment manufacturers, suppliers, and owner procurement teams.
Track procurement status, fabrication milestones, factory testing, shipping schedules, and delivery commitments.
Identify long-lead procurement risks and develop mitigation strategies.
Coordinate vendor meetings and provide routine procurement status updates.
Review manufacturing schedules against project requirements and escalate potential delays.
Logistics & Supply Chain Management
Lead planning and execution of logistics strategies for critical equipment deliveries.
Coordinate transportation, warehousing, storage, and site delivery activities.
Ensure equipment handling processes minimize damage and maintain manufacturer warranties.
Monitor material flow from factory production through final installation.
Coordinate customs, freight forwarding, and international shipping activities when applicable.
Manage laydown yards, storage facilities, and inventory controls.
Schedule Integration
Partner with project controls and scheduling teams to integrate OFCI milestones into Primavera P6 project schedules.
Ensure procurement, delivery, rigging, installation, startup, and commissioning activities align with critical path milestones.
Develop recovery plans when procurement or logistics delays occur.
Proactively identify schedule risks and communicate impacts to project leadership.
Support phased turnover and commissioning strategies.
Data Center Infrastructure Coordination
Oversee delivery and installation readiness for mission-critical infrastructure including:
Medium-voltage electrical equipment
Utility transformers
GIS and switchgear systems
UPS systems
Battery energy storage systems
Standby generators
Automatic transfer switches
Power distribution units (PDUs)
Busway systems
Chillers and cooling infrastructure
CRAH and CRAC units
Building automation systems (BAS)
Electrical monitoring systems (EMS)
Fuel oil systems
Fire protection systems
Network and telecommunications infrastructure
Security and access control systems
Installation Readiness & Field Coordination
Coordinate with field teams to ensure equipment arrives when installation crews are prepared.
Verify site readiness, access routes, crane plans, rigging requirements, and laydown space before deliveries.
Partner with superintendents and subcontractors to manage installation sequencing.
Support issue resolution involving damaged materials, missing components, delivery delays, and warranty concerns.
Ensure equipment documentation, manuals, certifications, and turnover packages are properly maintained.
Commissioning & Turnover
Coordinate equipment startup and commissioning activities with vendors and commissioning agents.
Track commissioning readiness and turnover milestones.
Facilitate factory witness testing (FAT), site acceptance testing (SAT), and integrated systems testing support.
Ensure all OFCI equipment is properly documented and transferred for owner operations.
Drive punch list resolution and turnover completion.
Reporting & Risk Management
Develop executive-level dashboards and reports on procurement, logistics, and delivery status.
Maintain OFCI risk registers and mitigation plans.
Forecast potential schedule impacts associated with procurement and delivery issues.
Present regular updates to project leadership and client stakeholders.
Ensure complete visibility into all equipment statuses, critical dates, and risk exposures.

Skills and Requirements
7-15 years of construction, project controls, logistics, supply chain, procurement, or project management experience.
Direct experience supporting data center construction projects.
Experience managing OFCI equipment programs on projects valued at $400M+.
Strong understanding of mission-critical infrastructure and data center construction workflows.
Demonstrated experience managing:

Exceptional organizational, communication, and stakeholder management skills. - Experience supporting hyperscale data center projects.
Experience on projects exceeding $500M in value.
Background in electrical infrastructure, mission-critical construction, project controls, or supply chain management.
Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or related field.
OSHA 30 Certification.
Experience supporting phased energization and commissioning programs.
