Seasonal Associate IT/Compliance

General Purpose

The IT/Compliance Seasonal Associate is an entry level position that will contribute to assigned IT and Compliance projects. The Associate will work closely with the Information Technology Supervisor and the Fair Lending & Compliance Officer, gaining valuable insight into the Community Banking business. This is a seasonal, non-benefitted position.

Essential Duties/Responsibilities

Establishes a working relationship with internal team members through effective communication.

Develops industry foundation using available training programs and tools.

Gains understanding of

Provides support to the IT department through working with IT teams to complete special projects as assigned.

Provides support to the Compliance department through working with Compliance teams to complete special projects as assigned.

Uses numerous software applications to accomplish daily tasks with minimal errors.

Gains knowledge of competition, profitability, and aligning department work with strategic goals.

Regular and Reliable on-site attendance is required as an essential function of this position.

Performs other duties as assigned.

Employees are held accountable for all duties of this job.

Job Qualifications

Knowledge, Skills, and Ability:

Customer service-oriented individual.

Good time management skills. Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.

Good written and verbal communication skills.

Ability to work as a team player.

Ability to maintain confidentiality.

Basic understanding of banking regulations.

Basic understanding of how to identify and make recommendations to address problems.

Proficient in Microsoft Office programs, including, but not limited to, Excel, Work, and Outlook.

Ability to maintain confidentiality.

Education or Formal Training:

High School Diploma or General Educational Diploma (GED) equivalency required.

Bachelor's Degree (B.A) in Finance, Accounting, or Business Administration required, either in process or complete.

Possession of, or ability to obtain, a valid Colorado Driver's License required.

Working Conditions

Working Environment:

This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines. Prolonged periods of standing and/or sitting. Ability to function in a fast-paced environment. Occasional travel to branch locations may be necessary.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear. This is largely a sedentary role. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, and ability to adjust focus.

The employee is frequently required to sit, stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle or feel; and reach with hands and arms. Ability to move up to 50 pounds. Repetitive motion likely.
