This Mechanical Engineer role focuses on creating, updating, and maintaining precise 2D and 3D engineering drawings using AutoCAD and SolidWorks, while supporting engineering and project teams with accurate documentation and revisions. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams in a dynamic environment connected to the amusement park industry, contributing to high-profile projects and gaining valuable, transferable experience.
Responsibilities
Create, update, and maintain detailed 2D and 3D engineering drawings using AutoCAD and SolidWorks.
Convert existing or legacy drawings into updated formats while preserving design intent and accuracy.
Ensure all drawings and documentation comply with internal standards and applicable industry requirements.
Support engineering teams with design documentation, including revisions, redlines, and version control.
Review and revise drawings based on feedback, design updates, or project changes.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineering, manufacturing, and project teams, to ensure design accuracy and completeness.
Assist in organizing, structuring, and maintaining engineering documentation and CAD file libraries.
Manage documentation accuracy with strong attention to detail, ensuring that all records remain current and consistent.
Prioritize and manage multiple tasks and projects in a fast-paced environment with changing priorities and tight deadlines.
Communicate clearly in writing and verbally to clarify design intent, document changes, and coordinate with stakeholders.
Support project management and expediting activities to help keep projects on schedule.
Essential Skills
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or Electrical Engineering.
Minimum of 2+ years of professional engineering experience after graduation.
Strong proficiency in AutoCAD for 2D and 3D engineering drawings.
Strong proficiency in SolidWorks for 3D modeling and detailed design work.
Experience creating and modifying engineering drawings and technical documentation.
Mechanical design and mechanical engineering experience.
Experience working with both mechanical and electrical engineering concepts.
Strong attention to detail with a focus on documentation accuracy.
Proficient in the Microsoft Office Suite (such as Word, Excel, and PowerPoint).
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including strong grammar.
Ability to work well under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
Ability to multi-task and adjust to constantly changing priorities.
Motivated team player who collaborates effectively with others.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Knowledge of Microsoft Project is a plus.
Fluency in additional language(s) is a plus.
Strong expediting and project management skills.
Highly organized and detail-oriented in managing files and documentation.
Comfort working in a dynamic, fast-paced project environment.
Interest in or exposure to projects related to the amusement park or themed entertainment industry is beneficial.
Work Environment
This is an onsite, Monday-Friday position in a dynamic, project-driven engineering environment. You will work closely with engineering, manufacturing, and project teams, using tools such as AutoCAD, SolidWorks, Microsoft Office, and potentially Microsoft Project to support design and documentation activities. The role is fast-paced and deadline-driven, with changing priorities that require flexibility and effective multitasking. Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $40.00 - $50.00/hr.
