What you'll do...
Pharmacy Automation & Equipment Management
Maintains and demonstrates expertise in automated pharmacy equipment, including operation, calibration, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair. Supports and sustains calibration programs for pharmacy instruments and equipment to ensure accuracy, compliance, and operational efficiency.
Continuous Improvement & Process Optimization
Identifies opportunities to improve processes and operational performance by conducting root cause analysis, utilizing statistical process control methods, and participating in continuous improvement initiatives that enhance quality, productivity, and safety.
Medication Quality Control
Maintains medication quality standards by monitoring expiration dates, ensuring proper product rotation, conducting routine inspections, and performing physical quality checks on medications and pharmacy supplies.
Quality, Safety & Operational Excellence
Supports pharmacy quality, automation efficiency, and workplace safety by monitoring production and process data, documenting results, identifying trends, proactively resolving issues, and ensuring compliance with established quality standards.
Pharmacy Systems & Technology Support
Maintains pharmacy technology systems, including inventory management systems and automated medication-counting equipment. Responsibilities include monitoring inventory levels, calibrating equipment, applying product-specific settings, replenishing medications, and troubleshooting automation-related issues to maintain workflow continuity.
Inventory Management & Control
Ensures the accuracy, integrity, and accountability of medication and supply inventories by utilizing automated inventory systems, conducting audits, managing pill-cell databases, documenting inventory procedures, processing recalls and expired medications, and properly handling hazardous waste and product returns.
Inventory Replenishment & Stock Management
Maintains inventory levels by receiving, sorting, stocking, and replenishing medications and supplies. Supports inventory accuracy through cycle counts, physical inventories, stock rotation practices, and shrink-reduction initiatives.
Reporting & Documentation
Supports operational reporting requirements by maintaining accurate records, entering and updating pharmacy data, processing required documentation, generating reports, identifying discrepancies, and communicating process improvement opportunities to leadership.
Prescription Fulfillment Operations
Supports the delivery of pharmacy products and services in accordance with company policies and all applicable federal, state, and local regulations. Assists pharmacists with prescription fulfillment, inventory management, claims processing, documentation, and maintaining a compliant work environment.
Automated Central Fill Production
Ensures timely and accurate prescription fulfillment within an automated central fill pharmacy by:
Utilizing scanners to identify and select medications.
Verifying medication strength, quantity, and packaging requirements.
Recording expiration dates and lot numbers.
Labeling prescriptions accurately.
Weighing, counting, and preparing medications for dispensing.
Packaging and distributing prescription orders.
Replenishing automated counting machines to support production goals.
Business Process Execution
Develops, communicates, and implements operational processes that support business objectives. Collaborates with leadership and business partners to analyze information, monitor results, identify improvement opportunities, and drive execution.

6 Months' experience in a pharmacy environment (for example, central fill, specialty, retail, mail order)
1 year's experience performing clerical-related responsibilities (for example, filing, data entry) and computer applications (for example, email, spreadsheets, Microsoft Office, PowerPoint, Visio).
