Compensation Accounting Manager

Our client, a leading organization in the technology sector, is seeking a Compensation Accounting Manager to join their team. As a Compensation Accounting Manager, you will be part of the Accounting department supporting Compensation Accounting functions. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills, excellent communication abilities, and a proactive mindset, which will align successfully in the organization.

Job Title: Compensation Accounting Manager

Location: Remote (US-based)

Pay Range: $46-$51/hr

Duration: 6 months (potential to extend)

What's the Job?

Manage and oversee the compensation accounting team, ensuring accurate and timely completion of tasks

Perform and review balance sheet reconciliations related to compensation and other assigned areas

Support month-end close processes, including preparing journal entries and variance analysis

Collaborate with cross-functional teams such as Finance, HR, Payroll, and Legal on compensation-related projects

Assist with internal controls, SOX compliance, and audit support activities

What's Needed?

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field

5-8+ years of progressive accounting experience, including at least 2+ years in a managerial or senior role

Strong understanding of US GAAP, internal controls, and audit procedures

Advanced Excel skills and experience working with large data sets and complex models

Excellent communication skills and ability to explain accounting concepts to non-finance stakeholders
