Description: Role Overview
Lockheed Martin Space is seeking a Project Engineer to support the Reentry Operations Center. In this role, you will help improve manufacturing visibility, production readiness, and operational performance through data analysis, automation, and cross-functional collaboration.
You'll work closely with engineering and operations teams to turn manufacturing data into actionable insights that support factory execution and production decision-making.

Key Responsibilities
Partner with engineering, manufacturing, and operations teams to support production readiness activities
Build and maintain dashboards, reporting tools, and operational tracking systems
Analyze manufacturing and production data to identify trends, risks, and improvement opportunities
Develop integrations between SAP, machine data sources, and shop floor systems
Support production ramp activities through data automation and process monitoring
Apply Statistical Process Control (SPC) and manufacturing performance analysis techniques
Collaborate directly with factory operations teams to improve execution and operational visibility
Help streamline reporting workflows and improve data accessibility for decision-makers

Basic Qualifications:
To be considered, candidates must meet all requirements listed:
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, Data Analytics, Computer Science, or a related technical field
Experience working in manufacturing, industrial, production, or operations environments
Experience using SQL, Python, Tableau, Power BI, or similar analytics and visualization tools
Understanding of manufacturing metrics, process variation, and production performance analysis
Experience creating dashboards, reporting tools, or operational data solutions
Ability to communicate and collaborate across engineering and operations teams
U.S. Citizenship with the ability to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance
Desired Skills:
Nice-to-have skills that strengthen candidacy but are not required:
Experience integrating SAP, manufacturing execution systems (MES), machine, PLC, or historian data
Experience with Statistical Process Control (SPC), including control charts and process capability analysis
Experience building automated ETL or data pipeline workflows
Familiarity with aerospace, defense, or high-precision manufacturing environments
Experience supporting production ramp-up or factory readiness efforts
Understanding of manufacturing flow concepts such as takt, throughput, and work-in-process (WIP)
Experience developing lightweight internal applications or manufacturing tools
Exposure to Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or continuous improvement practices
Active Secret security clearance
Security Clearance Statement: This position requires a government security clearance, you must be a US Citizen for consideration.

Ability to Work Remotely: Onsite Full-time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.
Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 9x80 every other Friday off
