Role summary:
The (USA) Director, Quality Assurance leads the development and execution of comprehensive quality assurance programs to ensure consistent service excellence and operational efficiency. This role oversees quality audits and risk assessment activities, process improvements, and supplier performance management while collaborating with stakeholders to implement best practices. The director manages budgets, drives continuous improvement initiatives, and fosters a culture of integrity and accountability. By leveraging data analytics and strategic planning, this position supports organizational goals, enhances customer satisfaction, and promotes workforce development to maintain high standards across all quality control functions.
About the team:
The Quality Assurance team leads Sam's Club commitment to delivering trusted private label products by managing end-to-end quality from concept to final delivery. Collaborating closely with cross-functional partners, the team drives quality at scale while enabling speed to market, innovation, and value for Members. They oversee quality assurance programs, conduct audits, and implement improvements to maintain high standards. Focused on strategic trust and operational excellence, the team supports continuous learning and process enhancements to ensure consistent, reliable product quality aligned with business goals and customer expectations.
What you'll do:
Lead and oversee quality assurance programs, ensuring alignment with industry best practices and business objectives.
Monitor and evaluate quality assurance processes, providing actionable feedback to improve member service and operational performance.
Develop and implement strategies for supplier quality management, including training and performance assessment.
Manage quality assurance budgets, forecasting, and expenditure reconciliation.
Collaborate with stakeholders to design and execute process improvements and training initiatives.
Foster a culture of continuous improvement, integrity, and accountability across teams.
Utilize data analytics to identify gaps and drive effective quality solutions.
What you'll bring:
Extensive leadership experience in quality assurance and quality management systems within complex operational environments.
Proven ability to develop, implement, and evaluate quality assurance programs and processes to drive continuous improvement.
Strong expertise in auditing, testing techniques, and test data management to ensure compliance and operational excellence.
Demonstrated success in managing budgets, forecasting, and resource allocation for quality control functions.
Skilled in analyzing data to identify behavioral gaps, training needs, and process improvement opportunities.
Ability to collaborate effectively with stakeholders and lead cross-functional teams to achieve business objectives.

The annual salary range for this position is $110,000.00 - $220,000.00 Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance bonuses. Additional compensation for certain positions may also include Regional Pay Zone (RPZ) (based on location).
