POSITION SUMMARY:
Under general supervision, performs limited aspects of technical supply management related to depot, local or other supply activities. Work usually is segregated by commodity area or function, and controlled in terms of difficulty, complexity, or responsibility. Assignments usually relate to stable or standardized segments of technical supply management operations; or to functions or subjects that are narrow in scope or limited in difficulty. The work generally involves individual case problems or supply actions. This work may require consideration of program requirements together with specific variations in or from standardized guidelines.
TYPICAL DUTIES:
*Maintain supplies, stock and equipment to ensure proper operation and safe condition.
*Prepare records and reports as needed using government or spreadsheet software.
*Investigate discrepancies and report them to management, recommending improvements to resolve issues.
*Maintain a good working relationship with coworkers and customers.
*Safe and proper use of products and equipment to meet quality and safety standards.
*Performs aspects of technical supply management work including but not limited to inventory management, storage management, cataloging, and property utilization related to depot, local or other supply activities.
*Analyze, define or recognize the complexity of problems, collect necessary data to establish facts, and take recommended action based on established guidelines.
*Safely operate forklift, pallet jack and hand-truck.
*Frequent travel between facilities or shops.
Performs other duties and special projects as assigned.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
At least one year of related work experience.
Working knowledge of the governing supply systems, programs, policies, nomenclature, work methods, manuals or other established guidelines.
Possess written and oral communicated skills to effectively follow instructions, to present information and respond to management, employees and customers.
Mathematical ability including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.
Ability to work safely and properly use tools and equipment.
Ability to travel to various facilities.
Demonstrated organizational, problem-solving and common sense skills.
Customer service skills to act responsively to customer inquiries and requests; and escalate matters appropriately.
An understanding of facilities maintenance operational guidelines related to supplies.
Flexibility to adapt to changing work priorities.
Analytical ability to define or recognize the dimension of the problems involved, to collect the necessary data to establish the facts, and take or recommend action based upon application or interpretation of established guidelines.
EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS:
High School Diploma or GED
CERTIFICATES OR LICENSES REQUIRED:
The following licenses or certificates may be required depending on local, state and/or contract requirements.
Forklift Certification
Valid Driver's License
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
Employees must have the ability to perform the following physical demands for extended periods of time with or without assistance:
Viewing computer screens
Using a keyboard
Climbing, sitting, and twisting to operate a forklift
Lifting or moving boxes or equipment up to 35 pounds
Climbing and/or working from high platforms and/or ladders
Ability to operate a pallet jack and hand-truck
Ability to communicate with coworkers and customers
WORK ENVIRONMENT:
Work is primarily performed at a customer's location in an office / shop environment with limited privacy and some exposure to background noise and/or noise from equipment. Transporting to locations with the work site may be required. Employees may also be exposed to extreme cold or heat.
