Job Summary

Oversees all accounting, reporting, and analytical activities for the Sales & Marketing functional team. Ensures accurate and timely preparation of journal entries, financial reporting, and operational analysis in accordance with corporate policies and GAAP. Provides leadership to the Sales & Marketing department accounting team and collaborates with cross functional partners to support business operations and strategic initiatives.

Job Description

Responsibilities:

Lead and manage an accounting team responsible for Sales & Marketing department financial reporting.

Serve as a liaison with the Field/HQ business partners to provide guidance on accounting entries and reporting.

Oversee preparation and review of financial statement analysis supporting of balance-sheet accruals and operating cash flow activity. Ensure evidence of review standards and deadlines are met.

Review of monthly Sales & Marketing department financial results prepared by other team members.

Prepare ad-hoc reporting and analysis for senior leadership.

Manage day-to-day activities, set goals and provide performance expectations for the GAO accounting team.

Identify, develop, and implement process improvements-including centralization and automation opportunities.

Ensure compliance with GAAP, internal controls, and corporate policies.

Oversee internal and external audit processes for assigned areas.

Maintain and update procedures in response to operational or policy changes.

Review monthly balance-sheet reconciliations and direct necessary adjustments.

Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Bachelor's Degree

While possessing the stated degree is preferred, Comcast also may consider applicants who hold some combination of coursework and experience, or who have extensive related professional experience.
