SUMMARY
The Retail Operations Leader is responsible for the successful management and leadership of multiple Trane Supply stores including developing personnel, product representation, operational excellence and customer satisfaction.
This position supports Rhode Island , Massachusetts , New Hampshire , Maine , and Vermon t. Candidates may reside in any of these states and must be able to travel as needed.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Customer-Facing 30%
Drives profitable revenue growth by ensuring stores achieve their sales goals objectives.
Maintains constant awareness of markets, competitor activities and problems within assigned area; recognizes trends that develop, makes appropriate recommendations as required including footprint.
Works with the outside and inside sales associates to provide a coordinated, integrated effort for incremental growth
Regularly visits personnel at all stores, may travel with sales personnel and meet with customers (as needed).
Role-models engaging customer-facing behaviors and customer service.
Leadership and Winning Culture 45%
Effectively assesses, selects, onboards, develops and coaches strong, diverse team of different backgrounds and experiences to achieve performance goals and business results.
Establishes work objectives and plans and manage distribution of work among managers and leads.
Utilizes HR team and IR Talent Management System and processes to effectively work with team to establish goals, manage overall performance management, and ongoing development.
Works with General Manager regarding performance reviews, performance issues, recommended promotions and salary/wage increase.
Establishes leadership cadence for team including communication and community events to help build engaged team.
Leads recognition, informal and formal for store associates including ongoing individual recognition and recognizing successes.
Participates in different team and community involvement activities.
Operations (25%)
Lead operational excellence across stores in partnership with Regional Retail Excellence Leader.
Ensures compliance with standard work and quality standards of all parts operation processes and functions required for effective and efficient execution of business objectives and customer satisfaction are met.
Leads efforts on compliance with Company safety programs. procedures; conduct safety audits; ensure required training compliance and conduct safety training as needed, and reinforce a strong safety culture.
Carries out action plans in support of strategic and tactical initiatives
Actively maintains and develops relationships with other Streams to ensure we optimize the local business
Interacts with support teams including Finance, HR, BOS, ISC as well as Product Management, Marketing, Customer Support and Engineering
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
This job has supervisory responsibilities for the staff in the Trane Supply stores.
TRAVEL
This job has expected travel within the Operations Leader's area of responsibility. Anticipated travel: 25%-50%.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
Requires a Bachelor's degree (BA/BS) from a 4-year college or university and 5 years part management related experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.
LANGUAGE SKILLS
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.
REASONING ABILITY
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.

This position works in a variety of environments, from inside office to outdoors, mechanical/ equipment rooms, and industrial work environments. During visits to customer/job sites, the employee is occasionally required to climb and may be exposed to moving mechanical parts, extreme heat, and risk of electrical shock. The employee is to follow the Electrical Safety/Arc Flash requirements to eliminate exposure. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate. Hearing protectors should be worn in environments over 85 DBA.
