Job Title: 2nd Shift Production Associate
Job Description
The 2nd Shift Production Associate works within a fast-paced manufacturing environment across multiple departments such as Assembly, Brazing, Crating, Expanding, Hairpin, Header Fabrication, Testing, Press, and others. This role supports the full production cycle by operating machinery, using hand tools, and performing general production tasks that contribute directly to the overall success of the business. Some areas may require additional certifications, specialized training, or prior experience, and all positions include physical requirements and a strong focus on safety, quality, and teamwork.
Responsibilities
Perform assigned production tasks in departments such as Assembly, Brazing, Crating, Expanding, Hairpin, Header Fabrication, Testing, and Press in a manner that meets or exceeds company expectations.
Operate manufacturing machinery and equipment safely and efficiently, including but not limited to presses, expanders, CNC or panel-controlled saws, and pressure testing equipment, as assigned.
Use hand tools and production equipment to complete assembly and manufacturing tasks according to established procedures and work instructions.
Read and understand drawings, blueprints, and other task-related documents to ensure accurate and precise completion of work.
Adhere to all safety policies, procedures, and rules at all times, including wearing required personal protective equipment (PPE) and promptly raising any safety concerns to a lead or supervisor.
Maintain a continuous safety mindset and avoid unprofessional conduct such as horseplay while on company property.
Meet and maintain quality expectations set by the quality team by following standard operating procedures and checking work for accuracy and completeness.
Demonstrate willingness to receive additional training when needed and show clear evidence of improvement on specified duties.
Arrive prepared for each scheduled shift, including wearing appropriate safety items and ensuring the access badge is on hand at all times.
Work effectively in small group settings or independently as needed, maintaining professional conduct and respectful communication with coworkers and leadership.
Communicate clearly with leadership regarding production needs, issues related to good manufacturing practices (GMP), and any obstacles that may impact safety, quality, or productivity.
Support a high-paced production team by staying organized, following instructions, and contributing to a collaborative work environment.
Essential Skills
Experience working in a manufacturing environment, preferably 1-3 years of prior experience.
General production experience, including working with and around a high-paced production team.
Machine operation experience, including operating manufacturing machinery such as presses, expanders (mechanical or hydro), CNC or panel control saws, and pressure testing equipment.
Assembly experience within a manufacturing or production setting.
Ability to read and interpret drawings, blueprints, and other task-related documents.
Strong safety mindset with the ability to follow safety policies, wear required PPE, and identify and report safety concerns.
Ability to use hand tools safely and effectively in a production environment.
Effective communication skills to interact with leadership and team members, including communication related to good manufacturing practices (GMP).
Ability to work in small groups or individually while maintaining professional conduct and respectful interactions.
Reliability in attending scheduled shifts prepared with required safety gear and access badge.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Preferred 1+ year prior experience operating manufacturing machinery such as presses, expanders (mechanical or hydro), CNC equipment, panel control saws, or pressure testing equipment.
Preferred 1+ year prior experience brazing, including copper-to-copper brazing using single and/or double tip torch setups.
Preferred proficiency with computers and common software applications such as Microsoft Excel and Word.
Preferred experience working in a mid-sized company where filling gaps and supporting multiple tasks is routine.
Openness to additional training and skill development in specialized production areas.
Comfort working in a structured environment with defined safety and quality standards.

Work Environment

This position works on the 2nd shift, supporting continuous production activities in a structured and professional environment.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $45760.00 - $45760.00/yr.
