Position Overview:
The Head of Residential Products has global responsibility for the overall P&L performance of a stable business segment focused on NEMA products applied in Residential applications and delivered through Electrical Distributors, Retail and OEM accounts. This individual is at the same time responsible for architecting and execution of short-term and long-term strategies that self-disrupt this profitable business in response to the changing needs of electrification. Given emerging residential trends and changing customer expectations, this individual will guide the segment to New Technologies, New Products and New Business Models to assure mid- and long-term success.
This position is a key leader on the EP NA leadership team and reports directly to the Head of Siemens Electrical Products North America (SI EP NA). Key direct reports include Head of Strategic Marketing, Head of Strategic Pricing, Head of Application Engineering. The direct span of influence includes responsibility to provide directional leadership to dedicated Residential product management and R&D departments. This business leader also works as a peer to:
EP North America Sr. Director of Operations to plan and manage the factory operations in Mexico, USA, and Southeast Asia.
Other P&L segments leads that either share go-to-market opportunities or factory footprint (i.e.: Head of CP&C P&L segment).
Head of R&D North America in order plan and prioritize residential R&D roadmap.
Head of Strategy for overall strategic planning and evaluation of in-organic growth opportunities (M&A and investments).

You will make an impact by:
Key functions of the role include, but not limited to:
P&L Ownership: Taking P&L accountability and overseeing all functional areas of the business weather through direct reporting lines or through matrixed disciplines of the electrical Products Division.
Product Lifecycle Planning: Developing the vision and long-term product planning to take the company to its next potential level. Develop and continuously update concise and cohesive product lifecycle strategic plans. Effectively prioritize a large R&D budget
Recognizing Technologies and Applications: Assuring that this business is positioned correctly technologically and assures that the application support resources are focused and effective.
Strategic Capacity Planning: Developing the vision and long-term (5 Year) Capacity and Investment Plans. Provide leadership for sourcing and core and non-core decisions
Financial Management: Demonstrating a keen understanding of financials, managing to target metrics in a structured manner, in partnership with the Residential Head of Finance.
Creating a Culture of Trust/Ownership: Making people development, ownership, collaboration, diversity and belonging an absolute priority.
Directing Go-to-Market Priorities: Addressing changing customer profiles. Create programs that create a preference for Siemens in a very complex influencer matrix
Facilitating Change Management: Reestablishing priorities on efficiency in response to recovering supply chains.
Demand and strategic supply chain guidance: working in conjunction with key supply chain and procurement leaders to provide guidance and priorities for proper market reach and customer experience.
Process Improvement Champion: Supporting process improvement areas not just residential segment, but for overall product flow businesses.
Price Modernization: Leading the flow goods strategic pricing group for multiple businesses within Siemens Industry, take calculated risks to drive complexity out of and modernize a market that has been slow to change
Business Model Development : Creating growth initiatives including new business models, Partnering with other businesses and channel partners in this space. Where justified create proposals for M&A in adjacent spaces.
People Development: Developing Bench Strength and act as a mentor to emerging leaders
You will impress us by having these qualifications:
A Bachelor's degree in engineering or a related field.
A proven track record of 5+ years of leading teams and delivering financial results at a senior level
Preferred Qualifications :
A strong entrepreneurial spirit, with the ability to drive innovation and the proven tenacity to execute strategic plans
Professional experience in renewable energy integration
Comprehensive (deep and broad) professional know-how and experience in one or more sub job families
Strong leadership skills with the ability to develop bench strength that reflects the communities we serve while acting as a mentor to emerging leaders
A demonstrated record of developing people and supporting talent movement and growth within and across the business
The ability to develop key strategies and effectively communicate them to regional and global senior leadership.
Advanced technical degree or MBA is a plus

The pay range for this position is $300,000 - $350,000 annually with an annual incentive of the base salary. The actual wage offered may be lower or higher depending on budget and candidate experience, knowledge, skills, qualifications, and premium geographic location. This compensation range is only applicable to U.S. based applicants.
