Job Title: General Production Worker
Job Description
This role offers the opportunity to work in several production areas, including paint line, laser operation, and metal finishing. You will support manufacturing by operating equipment, preparing and finishing metal components, and maintaining consistent quality and pace on the production floor. The position suits individuals who enjoy hands-on work, can stand for long periods, and are eager to develop their skills in a fast-paced metal fabrication environment.
Responsibilities
Operate laser cutting machines, including fiber lasers up to 6000 watts, to cut metal components according to specifications.
Set up and operate press brake machines to bend and shape metal parts to precise measurements and tolerances.
Work on the paint line to paint and powder-coat metal products at a consistent pace of approximately one metal bar per minute.
Prepare parts for painting and powder coating, including cleaning, paint prep, and ensuring surfaces are ready for finishing.
Follow instructions from the paint supervisor and other leaders to complete tasks safely and efficiently.
Perform metal finishing tasks as needed, ensuring parts meet quality and visual standards before shipping or further processing.
Assist with general production duties such as assembly, general labor, and shipping support as required.
Read and interpret blueprints or work instructions to understand job requirements and specifications.
Operate various production machines safely, following established procedures and safety guidelines.
Maintain a clean and organized work area, including adherence to cleanroom or controlled-area requirements where applicable.
Wear appropriate personal protective equipment, including sleeves, safety protection, and required footwear and eyewear.
Work full shifts on your feet, maintaining productivity and quality throughout the day.
Work regular overtime, including frequent Friday shifts, to support production demands.
Participate in training to learn new equipment and processes, and apply new skills on the job.
Comply with all company policies, safety rules, and testing requirements, including applicable pre-employment screenings.
Essential Skills
Experience in laser operation or laser machining, particularly with metal cutting equipment.
Experience in powder coating, paint booth work, or industrial painting of metal products.
Experience operating press brake machines to bend and form metal components.
Machine operation experience in a manufacturing or production environment.
Ability to perform general production, assembly, and general labor tasks.
Ability to read and understand blueprints or basic technical drawings.
Willingness and ability to work overtime regularly, including frequent Friday shifts.
Ability to stand on your feet for the entire shift and perform physically demanding tasks.
Comfort working in a non-climate-controlled environment, including warmer conditions near machines and in summer months.
Ability to pass applicable pre-employment screenings, including a 4-panel drug test and a 7-year background review, as required by company policy.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Prior experience with powder coating processes, including setup, application, and curing, is a strong plus.
Previous work in a paint booth or on a paint line handling metal products is highly beneficial.
Experience with CNC or other computer-controlled production equipment.

Work Environment
This is a production-floor role in a metal fabrication environment that is not climate controlled. Temperatures can become warmer during the summer months and are typically warmer when working directly with machines or near the paint line. You will spend the entire shift on your feet, performing physically active tasks such as operating machines, working on the paint line, and handling metal components. The schedule follows a four-day workweek with frequent overtime on Fridays, with shifts typically running from 5:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. or from 3:30 p.m. to 2:00 a.m., often totaling around 50 hours per week. You will use industrial equipment such as fiber laser cutting machines, press brake machines, paint and powder-coating systems, and other production machinery. The role requires wearing appropriate safety gear, including safety glasses and steel-toe footwear, with reimbursement available for these items. Sleeves and additional safety protection are provided for paint and powder-coating work. Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $21.00/hr.
