Job Title: Warehouse Worker
Job Description
The Warehouse Worker is responsible for receiving, inspecting, and accurately storing incoming materials to maintain inventory integrity. This role also involves picking, packing, and preparing customer orders for shipment while supporting a safe, clean, and organized warehouse environment. The position requires regular use of forklifts and pallet jacks, careful attention to labeling and documentation, and close collaboration with a small, tight-knit team.
Responsibilities
Receive incoming trucks and unload materials safely and efficiently.
Inspect incoming materials for accuracy, quality, and damage before storage.
Accurately store materials in designated locations to maintain inventory integrity.
Pick and pull items from inventory according to order requirements.
Pack orders securely and prepare them for shipment, including labeling and documentation.
Use forklifts and pallet jacks to move, load, and unload materials and products.
Support shipping and receiving activities, including staging, loading, and unloading shipments.
Print and apply labels to products, pallets, and shipments as required.
Perform order picking and warehouse packing duties to meet daily productivity goals.
Assist with warehouse inventory tasks, including counting and organizing stock.
Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area in all warehouse zones.
Follow all safety procedures and equipment guidelines when operating material handling equipment.
Collaborate with team members to complete daily workload and support cross-training efforts.
Essential Skills
At least 6 months of experience operating a forklift.
At least 6 months of experience using pallet jacks.
At least 1 year of warehouse experience.
Experience with material handling, including loading and unloading trucks.
Ability to perform order picking, packing, and shipping and receiving tasks.
Ability to operate sit-down forklifts and pallet jacks safely and effectively.
Experience working with warehouse inventory processes.
Ability to print and apply labels accurately.
Strong attention to detail to maintain accurate inventory and order fulfillment.
Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented warehouse environment.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Shipping and receiving experience is preferred.
Experience with warehouse packing and order picking processes.
Comfort working with warehouse equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks, and related tools.
Willingness to be cross-trained in multiple warehouse functions.

Work Environment
This role is a first-shift position in a climate-controlled warehouse. Summer hours, from now through August, are Monday through Thursday from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. (8.5 hours per day with a 30-minute unpaid lunch, totaling 34 hours), and Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. (6 hours with a 30-minute unpaid lunch). From September through May, hours are Monday through Thursday from 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. and Friday from 7:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., totaling 40 hours per week with a 30-minute unpaid lunch included each day. The warehouse uses forklifts, sit-down forklifts, pallet jacks, and standard material handling equipment, and work is performed in a clean, organized, and climate-controlled setting.

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $20.00/hr.
