Summary You will serve as a Detective in the Security Department of NSA WASHINGTON SECURITY DETACHMENT. Responsibilities You will understand law enforcement instructions to protect the constitutional rights of suspects, witnesses, and victims You will conduct short and long-term investigations of crimes to apprehend and arrest violators. You will interpret law enforcement regulations to determine how they apply to a criminal act. You will write reports relating to criminal and civil security hazards, complaints, and witness statements for use in future legal proceedings and investigations. Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level (GS-07) or pay band in the federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector 1) Conducting investigations into alleged or suspected violations of criminal laws and military regulations in accordance with laws, ordinances, regulations, and policies; 2) Responding to crime scenes to collect and preserve evidence; and 3) Preparing case records to include investigation findings and recommendations.
