The Food Service Supervisor is responsible for supervising offenders in the kitchen and preparing and serving food and nonalcoholic beverages to youth offenders. This position also receives and stores food and food service items, keeps the work area clean and preparation areas sanitized (such as cutting boards, serving equipment, and work surfaces). Also responsible for washing dishes, pans, and equipment used during food preparation, organizing and stocking eating, service, and kitchen areas, ensuring adherence to kitchen safety practices and reporting any safety problems. /The hourly rate of this position will increase by $1.00 per hour or 2.5%, whichever is greater, effective July 1, 2026, in accordance with HB13./ QUALIFICATIONS The knowledge, skills and abilities for this position are typically acquired through a combination of education and experience equivalent to: High School Diploma One-year experience with food preparation Possess food handler's certificate or completes within six months of employment Alternative combinations of education and experience will be considered on a case-by-case basis.
