About the team:
Our team leads Store Fulfillment Capacity and Space for Walmart U.S., ensuring stores have the necessary resources and infrastructure to meet increasing demand. We focus on expanding fulfillment capacity and optimizing physical space to enhance operational efficiency and customer satisfaction. Utilizing data-driven insights, advanced analytics, predictive models, and machine learning, we inform strategic decisions that support Walmart's omnichannel objectives. This approach drives continuous improvement and operational excellence across the store network, aligning with Walmart's evolving business goals and commitment to delivering seamless customer experiences.
What you'll do:
Translate complex business requirements into scalable data engineering solutions aligned with organizational strategy.
Design, develop, and maintain robust data pipelines integrating internal and external data sources.
Implement data governance practices ensuring compliance with regulatory, ethical, and quality standards.
Build and optimize data models and architectures for efficient storage, retrieval, and analysis.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify data needs and deliver actionable business insights.
Develop, test, and deploy code using appropriate programming languages and tools.
Monitor data systems performance and troubleshoot issues to ensure reliability and scalability.
Stay current with emerging big data and analytics technologies to drive continuous improvement.
What you'll bring:
Proven expertise in data engineering, including data pipelines, architecture, and governance.
Strong proficiency in query languages such as SQL and NoSQL for complex data modeling and integration.
Experience with cloud and big data platforms, including data warehousing and scalable storage solutions.
Ability to translate business requirements into technical solutions aligned with strategic goals.
Knowledge of data quality frameworks, regulatory compliance, and ethical data management practices.
Skilled in coding languages like Python, Java, or similar for development and testing of data solutions.
Demonstrated capability to lead data transformation, integration, and automation initiatives effectively.

The annual salary range for this position is $110,000.00 - $220,000.00 Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance bonuses. Additional compensation for certain positions may also include :
