Job Description
The Manufacturing Associate assembles industrial safety interlocks used in manufacturing and machine safety applications. In this role, you assemble mechanical and electromechanical safety interlocks according to drawings and detailed work instructions, configure key sequences to meet customer specifications, and perform functional testing and quality checks to ensure proper operation. You use hand tools and measuring equipment to meet tight tolerances, complete production and quality documentation accurately, and follow all safety, quality, and manufacturing procedures while collaborating closely with production, quality, and engineering teams. Responsibilities
Assemble industrial safety interlocks used in manufacturing and machine safety applications.
Assemble mechanical and electromechanical safety interlocks according to engineering drawings and detailed work instructions.
Configure key sequences to meet specific customer requirements and specifications.
Perform functional testing and quality checks to verify proper operation of assembled safety interlocks.
Use hand tools, power tools, and measuring equipment to achieve precise dimensions and tight tolerances.
Complete production and quality documentation accurately and in a timely manner.
Follow all established safety, quality, and manufacturing procedures throughout the assembly process.
Communicate issues, discrepancies, or improvement opportunities to production, quality, and engineering teams.
Work effectively in an assembly line environment, including performing repetitive tasks and packing as needed.
Read and interpret basic assembly drawings and blueprints to ensure correct builds.
Handle and assemble very small pieces and parts with care and precision.
Maintain reliable attendance and punctuality to support consistent production output.
Remain open to working overtime to meet production demands when required.
Essential Skills
High school diploma or GED required.
Ability to assemble mechanical and electromechanical components following drawings and work instructions.
Ability to read basic assembly drawings and blueprints and follow detailed instructions.
Experience using hand tools and power tools in an assembly or mechanical environment.
Ability to work with very small pieces and parts with precision and care.
Comfort working in a repetitive, assembly line environment and performing packing tasks.
Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain tight tolerances using measuring equipment.
Strong problem-solving skills to identify and address issues during assembly and testing.
Good attendance and reliability.
Willingness to follow all safety, quality, and manufacturing procedures.
Openness to working overtime as needed.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
At least 1 year of manufacturing assembly or mechanical experience preferred.
Basic mechanical experience preferred but not required.
Experience with precision assembly or working with inspection tools is a plus.
Experience with safety devices or safety interlock systems is a plus.
Ability to collaborate effectively with production, quality, and engineering teams.
Comfort using measurement tools to verify dimensions and tolerances.

Work Environment
This role operates on a 1st shift schedule, typically from 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., with the expectation that you remain open to working overtime when production demands increase. You work in a manufacturing environment focused on assembling safety interlock systems, including mechanical interlocks, electromechanical interlocks, solenoid key release units, time delay key release units, transfer panels, and smart technology components. The work involves using hand tools, power tools, and measuring equipment to assemble and verify precision components. You spend most of your time at an assembly station in an assembly line setting, performing repetitive tasks and handling small parts while following established safety, quality, and manufacturing procedures. The environment emphasizes adherence to process, attention to detail, and collaboration with production, quality, and engineering teams to ensure each safety interlock system follows the required sequential pattern for safe operation.
