Job Title: Manufacturing Technician
Job Description
This role supports a high-volume flavor production facility by assisting machine operators, handling materials, and performing mixing, blending, and compounding tasks. You will work with a wide variety of flavors, follow documented procedures and work orders, and help keep the facility clean, safe, and efficient. This position requires consistent heavy lifting, attention to detail, and a strong commitment to safety and quality standards.
Responsibilities
Assist machine operators with offloading and handling materials throughout the production process.
Manually move buckets and vats of flavor materials and ingredients as needed.
Support mixing, blending, and compounding of products according to recipes, documentation, and work orders.
Work in an environment with a wide range of flavors, such as vanilla, garlic, fish oil, and other strong aromas.
Abide by all safety regulations, rules, and Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) requirements at all times.
Perform various duties around the facility to support production and fill in when team members are out.
Clean the facility, including production areas, equipment, and workspaces, to maintain a sanitary environment.
Clean bowls and other equipment after food production to meet cleanliness and quality standards.
Assist machine operators with general production tasks and equipment support as directed.
Use a tablet or similar device to read and follow documentation, work orders, and production instructions.
Consistently lift 50+ pounds as part of daily tasks, including moving materials and equipment.
Wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE), including beard masks when applicable, and follow all hygiene and dress requirements.
Serve as a production helper and willingly assist in various areas of the facility as production needs change.
Essential Skills
Experience in food manufacturing, pharmaceutical production, or a similar environment involving mixing, blending, or following recipes.
Ability to follow documented procedures, recipes, and work orders accurately.
Comfort reading and understanding production documentation and work orders.
Experience with mixing, blending, compounding, and general production processes.
Ability to perform consistent heavy lifting of 50+ pounds.
Material handling experience in a production or manufacturing setting.
Familiarity with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and working in regulated environments, such as FDA-regulated facilities.
Ability to use a tablet or similar device to access and follow digital instructions.
Willingness to work with strong and varied flavors and fragrances, including food and oil-based aromas.
Strong commitment to safety regulations, cleanliness, and quality standards.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Background in food manufacturing or flavor production is highly preferred.
Experience in pharmaceutical or other highly regulated manufacturing environments is beneficial.
Comfort working with blending, mixing, and compounding equipment.
Ability to follow recipes and precise measurements in a production setting.
Flexibility to work different tasks and support multiple areas as a production helper.
Comfort wearing a beard mask when required or maintaining no facial hair to comply with PPE requirements.

Work Environment
This role is based in a flavor and fragrance manufacturing facility where a wide range of aromas, including strong food and oil-based scents, are present at all times. The position is on the 3rd shift, Monday through Friday, from 8:00 p.m. to 6:30 a.m., with the expectation to work overtime and weekends as needed, especially during periods of high production when 12-hour days and Saturday shifts may be required. The facility follows Good Manufacturing Practices and operates under FDA-related standards, with all necessary personal protective equipment (PPE) provided. You must be comfortable wearing required PPE, including beard masks where applicable, and adhering to hygiene and dress code guidelines appropriate for a food and flavor production environme

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $24.00 - $28.00/hr.
