Job Title: Manufacturing EngineerJob Description
The Manufacturing/Process Engineer designs, qualifies, and continuously improves manufacturing processes to ensure safe, efficient, and high-quality production. This role develops and maintains APQP documentation, leads process and equipment implementations, and supports lean and continuous improvement initiatives across the facility. The engineer collaborates closely with production, planning, and leadership teams to align manufacturing capacity with customer demand while supporting capital planning, cost justification, and adherence to quality and EHS standards.
Responsibilities
Design and develop manufacturing and process solutions that deliver safe, efficient, and high-quality production.
Qualify new and existing manufacturing processes to ensure they meet performance, quality, and safety requirements.
Develop, maintain, and update APQP documentation, including PFMEAs, control plans, and related process documentation.
Lead process and equipment implementation projects from concept through validation and handoff to production.
Drive continuous improvement and lean manufacturing initiatives to increase productivity, reduce waste, and optimize workflow.
Conduct time studies and process flow analyses to identify improvement opportunities and standardize best practices.
Create, improve, and maintain work instructions and other shop-floor documentation to support consistent, repeatable operations.
Collaborate with production, planning, and leadership teams to ensure manufacturing capacity aligns with customer demand.
Support capital planning and cost justification for new equipment, tooling, and process improvements.
Apply quality engineering principles to ensure processes meet quality standards and customer requirements.
Support and uphold all quality, environmental, health, and safety (EHS) policies and procedures.
Champion the organization's core values by promoting a culture of safety, quality, and continuous improvement throughout the manufacturing environment.
Essential Skills
Bachelor's degree in engineering.
At least 3 years of experience leading continuous improvement activities in a manufacturing environment.
Proven experience with continuous improvement methodologies and tools.
Hands-on experience with lean manufacturing and lean implementation.
Practical application of Lean Six Sigma principles.
Strong knowledge of APQP, including development and maintenance of related documentation.
Experience creating and maintaining PFMEAs.
Experience developing and managing control plans.
Background in manufacturing engineering, process engineering, or industrial engineering.
Experience conducting time studies and process improvement projects.
Demonstrated ability to develop process flows and improve workflow efficiency.
Experience in quality engineering within a manufacturing setting.
Ability to create clear, detailed work instructions to support production operations.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Formal training or certification in Lean, Six Sigma, or related continuous improvement methodologies is beneficial.
Experience implementing lean tools such as standard work, 5S, and visual management is an advantage.
Exposure to capital project support, including cost justification and return-on-investment analysis, is helpful.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a focus on data-driven decision-making.
Effective communication and collaboration skills to work with cross-functional teams in production, planning, and leadership.

The engineer works closely with production lines, process equipment, and shop-floor personnel to implement and sustain process improvements. Typical hours follow standard business or production schedules, with flexibility depending on project and operational needs. Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $65000.00 - $90000.00/hr.
