Job Title: Warehouse Worker
Job Description
This role is responsible for receiving, storing, and issuing materials, equipment, and other items within a stockroom, warehouse, or storage yard. The warehouse worker maintains accurate inventory records, ensures items are stored safely and accessibly, and supports smooth warehouse operations by following established procedures and safety standards.
Responsibilities
Receive incoming stock items and materials, ensuring accuracy in quantities and condition upon arrival.
Count stock items and record data manually or using a computer-based inventory system.
Pack and unpack items to be stocked on shelves in stockrooms, warehouses, or storage yards.
Verify inventory computations by comparing system records to physical counts of stock and investigate discrepancies or correct errors as needed.
Store items in an orderly, safe, and accessible manner in warehouses, tool rooms, supply rooms, or other designated areas.
Label stock items clearly using identification tags, stamps, electric marking tools, or other labeling equipment.
Clean and maintain supplies, tools, equipment, and storage areas to ensure compliance with safety regulations and organizational standards.
Keep accurate records on the use, movement, and damage of stock or stock-handling equipment.
Examine and inspect stock items regularly for wear, defects, or damage and report any issues promptly to supervisors.
Provide assistance, guidance, or direction to other stockroom, warehouse, or storage yard workers to support efficient operations.
Essential Skills
Strong verbal communication skills to coordinate effectively with supervisors and team members.
Clear written communication skills to maintain accurate records and documentation.
Analytical and problem-solving ability to identify and resolve inventory discrepancies and operational issues.
Ability to work effectively as a team player and collaborate with other warehouse staff.
High attention to detail to ensure accurate counting, labeling, and storage of inventory.
Knowledge of relevant warehouse equipment, policies, and procedures.
Understanding of strategies and practices that support secure operations for the protection of people, data, property, and facilities.
High school diploma or GED required.
0-2 years of experience in a warehouse, stockroom, or similar inventory-handling environment.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Familiarity with computer-based inventory or stock management systems.
Experience working with labeling tools such as identification tags, stamps, and electric marking equipment.
Basic understanding of safety regulations and best practices in a warehouse or storage environment.
Ability to maintain a clean and organized work area in compliance with safety and operational standards.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $16.50 - $16.50/hr.
