Staff Accountant

Employment Type: Contract

Compensation: $35 - $40 hourly

About the Role

Robert Half is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Staff Accountant to join a dynamic and growing team. This is an excellent opportunity to work with a leading organization that values innovation, teamwork, and career development.

In this role, you will play a key part in supporting financial operations and contributing to the success of our client's business.

Responsibilities

As a Staff Accountant, you will:

Prepare monthly financial statements, reconciliations, and journal entries.

Process accounts payable and receivable transactions accurately and in a timely manner.

Maintain the general ledger, analyzing and resolving discrepancies to ensure accuracy.

Assist with month-end and year-end closing procedures.

Support budgeting, forecasting, and audit processes when needed.

Collaborate with other departments to resolve financial and accounting inquiries.

Ensure compliance with company policies, applicable laws, and best practices.

Requirements

We are seeking candidates with:

Education: A bachelor's degree in accounting, Finance, or a related field.

Experience: 1-3+ years of relevant accounting experience, preferably in a corporate setting.

Skills: Strong attention to detail, organizational abilities, and proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, NetSuite, or similar tools).

Knowledge: Familiarity with GAAP and general accounting principles.

Technical Aptitude: Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other Office Suite tools.

Soft Skills: Excellent communication skills and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
