Specialized Experience: In addition to demonstrating the basic qualifications listed above, applicants must also demonstrate possession of specialized experience. You qualify at the GS-14 level if you possess one (1) year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-12 grade level performing duties such as: Establishing, implementing, and interpreting the risk and vulnerability assessments to identify protections needed. Troubleshooting IT security problems and recommending developmental actions that will minimize risks. Evaluating and recommending the acquisition of, implementation of, and dissemination of IT security tools, procedures, and practices to protect information assets. Implementing programs to ensure systems, network and data users understand and adhere to security policies and procedures.
