Summary This position is located in FEMA's Office of the Chief Information Security Officer (OCISO). The ideal candidate will have a background in Information Systems Security Manage (ISSM) and Information Systems Security Officer (ISSO) roles and will possess experience in Information Technology (IT) security, risk assessment, and compliance. Experience leading teams to implement, manage, and oversee security controls and policies for agency information systems is highly preferred. Responsibilities What will I do in this position if hired? In this position, you will serve a Supervisory Information Technology Specialist (INFOSEC). Typical assignments include: Developing policies and procedures to ensure information systems reliability and accessibility and to prevent and defend against unauthorized access to systems, networks, and data. Overseeing risk analysis, feasibility study, and/or trade-off analysis to develop, document, and refine functional requirements and specifications. Overseeing and defining organizational cyber policy, programs, and guidelines for implementation. Consulting with customers to gather and evaluate functional requirements and translates these requirements into technical solutions. What else do I need to know? Qualifications Current Federal employees must have served 52 weeks at the next lower grade or equivalent grade band in the Federal service. To qualify for this position at the GS-15 level, you must possess one full year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the GS-14 level in the Federal government, which has equipped you with the skills needed to successfully perform the duties of the position.
