What You'll Do

As a Lab Technician, you'll play an important role in ensuring the safety and quality of medical devices used every day:

Perform laboratory testing on raw materials, in-process samples, and finished products

Conduct hands-on testing such as tensile strength, absorption, and water resistance for surgical materials (e.g., gowns and drapes)

Operate and maintain lab equipment, troubleshoot basic issues, and coordinate repairs when needed

Accurately record and review test results following Good Documentation Practices (GDP)

Follow Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and contribute to continuous improvements

Support a safe, clean, and compliant lab environment

Collaborate with team members and communicate your findings clearly

Basic Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in a scientific field (Biology, Chemistry, Physics, etc.) OR

Associate degree in science plus hands-on experience in a regulated setting (customer service, retail, etc.)

Preferred Skills (we'll help you grow these!):

Familiarity with lab testing techniques or equipment

Basic knowledge of GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices) or regulated industries

Comfort with Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook

Strong attention to detail and willingness to learn

1st Shift: Monday-Friday

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Libertyville, IL.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $25.00/hr.

Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
