We are building and expanding our commercial presence in San Antonio, with an initial focus on financial services and adjacent industries. This is a unique opportunity to play a leadership role in shaping and growing a market.
This position is located in San Antonio, Texas , however a hybrid working model is acceptable.
Role Overview & Impact
CGI is seeking a dynamic, highly motivated, and entrepreneurial leader to join our Commercial practice as an Account Director. This role is responsible for building, leading, and scaling CGI's San Antonio metro business, with a primary focus on financial services and other commercial industries.
Your future duties and responsibilities:
. Establish CGI's presence in the San Antonio commercial market, building brand recognition and long-term client trust
. Develop and execute a go-to-market strategy focused on financial services and targeted industries
. Drive business development by identifying, pursuing, and closing new opportunities while expanding existing client relationships
. Build and maintain a robust pipeline to support sustained revenue growth
. Leverage an established local network to build credibility, generate leads, and accelerate client acquisition
. Lead proposal development and tailor solutions to align with client business objectives
. Oversee delivery to ensure high-quality outcomes, client satisfaction, and long-term retention
. Own financial performance, including revenue growth, profitability, forecasting, and overall P&L management
. Recruit, lead, and develop high-performing teams to support both growth and delivery
. Leverage CGI's global delivery model and partner ecosystem to scale effectively
Required qualifications to be successful in this role:
. Extensive IT and consulting services background (15+ years minimum), with a strong focus on commercial industries
. Proven success in business development in the San Antonio market, including new logo acquisition and market expansion
. Strong industry expertise, with a preference for financial services experience
. Demonstrated ability to build, grow, and scale a market or portfolio
. Experience leading both sales and delivery, with full accountability for revenue growth and client satisfaction
. Strong financial acumen, including P&L management, forecasting, and complex pricing strategies
. Strategic planning and business management experience
. Strong client engagement and executive relationship management skills
. Exceptional communication, networking, and relationship-building abilities
. Strong existing network within the San Antonio metro area, with the ability to leverage relationships to accelerate market entry and business development
. Proven ability to build and lead high-performing teams in a growth environment
. Experience working across distributed and cross-functional teams, leveraging global delivery models
. Self-starter with an entrepreneurial, proactive approach
. Strong intellectual agility-analytical, adaptable, and solution-oriented
. Sound judgment and decision-making supported by strong problem-solving skills
Other Information:
CGI is required by law in some jurisdictions to include a reasonable estimate of the compensation range for this role. The determination of this range includes various factors not limited to skill set, level, experience, relevant training, and licensure and certifications. To support the ability to reward for merit-based performance, CGI typically does not hire individuals at or near the top of the range for their role. Compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range for this role in the U.S. is $143,500.00 - $310,700.00.
