Minimum Qualifications
Five years of experience in administrative services; OR
Six years of full-time work experience in any field plus two years of experience in administrative services; OR
A bachelor's degree plus two years of experience in administrative services; OR
An advanced degree plus one year of experience in administrative services.
EXPERIENCE SUBSTITUTION:
Every 30 semester hours earned from an accredited college or university will be credited as one year of experience towards the six years of full-time work experience in any field. The maximum substitution allowed is 120 semester hours which substitutes for a maximum of four years of experience in any field.

Job Duties and Other Information
Job Duties:
Monitors and evaluates complaints, incidents, and compliance data for healthcare providers statewide to ensure adherence to federal and state regulations and identify opportunities for quality improvement.
Oversees the intake, tracking, and analysis of complaints and incidents received through the statewide complaint workstation for long-term care and non-long-term care programs.
Conducts complex research and analysis of programmatic operations, gathers additional information as needed, and prepares reports, findings, and recommendations for management.
Serves as a subject matter expert on Health Standards Section processes and regulations, independently responding to inquiries and providing technical guidance to internal and external stakeholders.
Collaborates with Information Technology staff to support the design, maintenance, monitoring, and enhancement of complaint tracking systems and reporting tools.
Establishes and maintains effective working relationships with healthcare providers, agency staff, and external partners to support compliance initiatives and operational effectiveness.
Analyzes operational challenges, assesses the impact of process changes, and participates in planning, meetings, and quality improvement activities to develop and implement effective solutions.
Preferred Experience:
The following specific experience, qualifications and specialized skills are highly desired for non-probationary/permanent HSS employees interested in applying for this probationary, in-person opening at the State Office:
Strong background in LDH/HSS databases and regulatory requirements;
Proficient with data mining and analysis;
Extensive experience with LDH/HSS programmatic operations and processes;
Keen ability to conduct multifaceted analysis and inquiry;
Experience with healthcare quality; and
Knowledge of LDH/HSS and Medicare guidelines for programs and policies.
