As an Advanced Manufacturing Engineer II - Advanced Product Quality Planning Engineer here at Honeywell Aerospace Technologies, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the highest standards of quality in our product development process. You will be responsible for supporting and maintaining the Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP) process, specifically for Phoenix Engines & several site products, driving continuous improvement initiatives, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure the successful launch of high-quality aerospace products. Key Responsibilities
Be a member of a team of Supplier Quality Engineers (SQE) to ensure that our suppliers meet Honeywell's quality standards and strategy in the manufacture of components.
Support, implement and maintain the AME II -Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP) process, specifically for engines, to ensure the successful launch of high-quality aerospace products
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and mitigate quality risks throughout the aerospace product development lifecycle
Support, develop and execute robust quality plans, including control plans, FMEAs, and PPAPs, with a focus on engines/components/hardware
Conduct Measurement System Analysis (MSA) and Measurement System Repeatability and Manufacturing Readiness Assessment (MRA) to ensure accurate and reliable measurement systems for components/products
Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance product quality and customer satisfaction, with a specific focus on engine performance and reliability
Conduct root cause analysis and implement corrective actions to address quality issues related to products
Collaborate with suppliers to ensure compliance with quality requirements and drive supplier quality improvement initiatives for components
Provide technical expertise and support to internal teams on quality-related matters related to products
Stay updated on industry best practices and emerging trends in quality engineering for aerospace products
YOU MUST HAVE
Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution in technical disciplines such as the sciences, technology, engineering or mathematics.
Minimum of 3 years of experience in manufacturing, quality engineering, Program Management or related roles, with a focus on leading projects, supporting customers & overseeing products
Knowledge of Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP) process and tools, specifically for Aerospace & Military products
Experience in driving continuous improvement initiatives and implementing quality management systems for Aerospace & Military products
Problem-solving and root cause analysis skills
Knowledge of industry standards and regulations, such as AS9145 (Advanced Product Quality Planning and Production Part Approval Process)
