The Supply Chain Analyst is a multi-level role (Levels 1-4) responsible for driving data-driven execution and continuous improvement across materials planning, sourcing and purchasing, inventory management, and warehouse operations. This position plays a critical role in ensuring material availability, inventory accuracy, and disciplined execution of ERP transactions across manufacturing.
At all levels, the role partners cross-functionally with Supply Chain, Materials Management, Engineering, Quality, Finance, Project Management, and Manufacturing to identify issues, analyze data, and implement solutions that improve operational performance and support business objectives.
The position progresses from foundational operational support and reporting (Level 1) to independent analysis and process ownership (Level 2), then to cross-functional leadership and system optimization (Level 3), and ultimately to enterprise-level strategy, governance, and performance framework development (Level 4).
Throughout all levels, the Supply Chain Analyst is expected to:
Leverage Excel, Power BI and ERP systems to transform data into actionable insights
Improve and standardize end-to-end supply chain processes
Develop and maintain SOPs and work instructions as control mechanisms
Support audit readiness through documentation, traceability, and transaction discipline
Drive continuous improvement initiatives focused on accuracy, efficiency, and reliability
LEVEL EXPECTATIONS:
Supply Chain Analyst l
Essential Functions / Responsibilities:
Monitor inventory transactions and stock levels to support inventory accuracy and material availability; escalate issues as needed.
Support cycle count execution, reconciliation, and follow-up corrective actions to improve accuracy.
Support receiving, picking, staging, and material issuance processes by helping maintain documentation and ensuring transactions align with physical activity.
Assist materials planning and purchasing teams with basic shortage reports, open order status reporting, and data validation.
Analyze inventory and material flow data at a basic level to identify discrepancies and trends; elevate potential process gaps.
Prepare recurring metrics, dashboards, and reports using established templates.
Support audit readiness by ensuring inventory data, transactions, and documentation are accurate and current.
Draft and maintain work instructions and SOPs for routine supply chain and warehouse tasks under guidance.
Work closely with warehouse and production teams to ensure documented processes reflect actual execution.
Identify opportunities to improve materials flow, inventory accuracy, and transaction discipline and communicate ideas to leadership.

Basic Knowledge Desired:
Working knowledge of inventory control, materials management, and warehouse processes in a manufacturing environment.
Foundational understanding of how ERP transactions impact physical inventory and downstream operations.
Proficiency with Microsoft Excel (formulas, basic lookups, pivot tables) and comfort working with structured datasets.
Ability to interpret data and communicate findings clearly.
Strong written communication skills with the ability to draft clear, operator-focused work instructions.

Qualifications & Experience:
High school diploma or GED required; associate's or bachelor's degree in supply chain, business, or a related field preferred.
0-2 years of experience in supply chain support, inventory control, materials, or warehouse operations preferred.
Demonstrated Excel capability for operational reporting and basic analysis.
Exposure to ERP systems and Microsoft Office Suite preferred.

Own cycle count execution for assigned areas including reconciliation, investigation, and corrective action closure.
Support materials planning with shortage risk reporting, coverage/availability signals, and master data validation that improves plan quality.
Support sourcing and purchasing by providing prioritized open order actions, past-due and high-risk PO reporting, and receiving exception visibility.
Support receiving, picking, staging, and issuance processes by improving transaction accuracy and identifying recurring execution errors.
Develop and maintain metrics, dashboards, and reports for supervisors and managers; recommend actions based on findings.
Support audit readiness by maintaining accurate inventory evidence, transactional traceability, and controlled documentation.
Write, maintain, and improve SOPs/work instructions for assigned processes; implement through training and reinforcement.
Work cross-functionally to ensure documented processes reflect actual execution and reduce reliance on undocumented workarounds.
Lead small-to-medium continuous improvement initiatives focused on material flow, accuracy, and execution discipline.

Lead analysis and resolution of significant inventory variances, material shortages, and recurring execution failures; drive cross-functional corrective actions.
Own and improve inventory control processes (cycle count strategy, reconciliation methodology, adjustment governance, transaction compliance routines).
Support materials planning with advanced exception analysis, shortage driver identification, and improvements to planning-related master/transaction data.
Support sourcing/purchasing by analyzing supplier and PO performance trends (lead time variability, receiving issues, chronic past-due patterns) and recommending process fixes.
Improve warehouse execution by mapping end-to-end workflows (receiving through issuance) and eliminating error points, rework loops, and non-value-added steps.
Design and maintain advanced dashboards and KPI suites for leadership; provide structured insights and recommended actions.
Strengthen audit readiness through control-oriented processes, evidence expectations, and disciplined documentation and transaction integrity.

Define and govern inventory and materials control strategy (cycle count methodology, tolerance thresholds, adjustment governance, transaction control plans).
Establish enterprise analytics and reporting standards to support materials planning, purchasing actions, inventory health, and warehouse execution discipline.
Partner with planning, purchasing, warehouse, production, and ERP/IT stakeholders to design scalable workflows, controls, and data integrity standards.
Develop executive-level dashboards and analytical models that translate data into prioritized actions, measurable outcomes, and risk mitigation.
Standardize receiving, picking, staging, and issuance process controls across operations to reduce variation, rework, and execution risk.
Lead audit readiness strategy through evidence frameworks, documentation governance, and transaction discipline expectations.
Own documentation governance as an operational control system: templates, revision cadence, implementation expectations, training mechanisms, and compliance checks.

Typical indoor manufacturing environment. Noise level is usually moderate. Safety glasses and closed-toe shoes are required when on the production floor.
Everyday workwear must be business casual/smart casual and appropriate for the office environment.
