Beacon Hill is partnering with a non-profit in Brooklyn to bring a Grant Accountant to their growing team. The Grant Accountant is responsible for managing the financial aspects of grant-funded programs, ensuring accurate tracking, reporting, and compliance with donor, federal, state, and organizational requirements. If you have 3+ years of non-profit accounting experience, please apply! Key Responsibilities: Manage the financial lifecycle of assigned grants, including setup, monitoring, reporting, and closeout Track grant expenditures and ensure costs align with approved budgets and funding guidelines Prepare and post journal entries related to grant activity, including revenue recognition and reclasses Reconcile grant-related accounts, including general ledger and balance sheet accounts Prepare financial reports for internal stakeholders and external funders, ensuring accuracy and timeliness Maintain detailed grant records, schedules, and supporting documentation for compliance and audit purposes Monitor grant budgets and collaborate with program staff to address variances and spending concerns Prepare invoices, funding requests, and grant drawdowns as required Ensure compliance with federal, state, and private grant regulations, including Uniform Guidance where applicable Assist with internal and external audits, including preparation of schedules and supporting documentationBeacon Hill is an equal opportunity employer and individuals with disabilities and/or protected veterans are encouraged to apply.
