Job Description
The Manufacturing Technician supports operators in a clean, temperature-controlled production facility by safely operating machinery, monitoring processes, and ensuring materials meet quality and specification standards. This role also includes using a sit-down forklift to stage materials approximately 10% of the time while following Standard Operating Procedures and strict safety guidelines.
Responsibilities
Assist operators in the production of materials in accordance with established Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
Operate production machinery and equipment safely, efficiently, and in line with training and company guidelines.
Monitor production processes and product flow to ensure materials consistently meet required specifications.
Perform regular quality checks on materials and finished products and accurately document all results.
Use a sit-down forklift to stage, move, and organize materials as needed, approximately 10% of the time.
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area, including proper handling and storage of materials and tools.
Follow all safety protocols and procedures, including lockout/tagout and other relevant safety practices as trained.
Communicate clearly and professionally with team members, operators, and supervisors to support smooth production operations.
Report any issues, equipment malfunctions, safety concerns, or discrepancies in product quality to operators or management promptly.
Support general production activities such as working on the production line, machine operation, assembly line tasks, and compounding as required.
Demonstrate reliable attendance and the ability to work rotating 12-hour shifts in line with scheduling requirements.
Essential Skills
Previous experience in a manufacturing or production environment (preferred but strongly valued).
Hands-on experience with general production, manufacturing processes, production lines, machine operation, and assembly line work.
Sit-down forklift experience and comfort operating forklifts in a production or warehouse environment.
Forklift certification or willingness to obtain certification through company-supported training.
Ability to learn and adapt quickly after training and to consistently follow Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
Strong attention to detail and the ability to perform accurate quality checks and documentation.
Ability to stand for the duration of a 12-hour shift and perform manual labor, including operating machinery and handling materials.
Good attendance record and ability to work rotating 12-hour shifts on a consistent basis.
Ability to follow safety guidelines and maintain a strong safety mindset at all times.
Effective communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
Basic problem-solving skills to identify and escalate production or quality issues.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Experience with packaging, compounding, and general manufacturing operations.
Comfort working in a structured environment where adherence to SOPs and documentation standards is critical.
Willingness to receive cross-training on different machines and processes within the facility.
Motivation to grow within a manufacturing environment and take on additional responsibilities over time.

Work Environment

The schedule involves rotating 12-hour shifts, requiring the ability to stand for extended periods and perform physical tasks throughout the day. The environment emphasizes strict adherence to safety protocols, proper use of equipment, and maintaining a clean and organized workspace.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $19.50 - $19.50/hr.
