Role summary:
This position leads the development and execution of advanced sourcing strategies by collaborating with cross-functional partners to meet product demand and business objectives. This position is responsible for developing and executing long-term supply strategies that strengthen supply continuity, capacity, resilience, and business performance across Fresh Food. This role serves as a strategic leader at the intersection of sourcing, merchandising, and supply chain. The position focuses on identifying and mitigating supply risks, expanding supplier capacity, building network resilience, advancing diversification strategies, and supporting enterprise growth objectives. Additional responsibilities include direct Category sourcing responsibility as needed.

The sourcing team develops and executes strategic sourcing plans to support business goals, collaborating closely with cross-functional partners. This team manages vendor relationships, negotiates contracts, and ensures supply continuity while maintaining cost efficiency and sustainability standards. Members leverage market insights and performance data to drive innovation and process improvements. The team fosters a culture of continuous learning, accountability, and integrity, promoting high performance and operational excellence. Together, they contribute to delivering value and quality products, aligning sourcing strategies with company objectives and supporting long-term business success.
What you'll do:
Lead and influence high-impact cross-functional initiatives spanning Merchandising, Supply Chain, Sourcing, Finance, Transportation, Sustainability, and Operations.
Develop and execute complex sourcing strategies in collaboration with cross-functional partners to ensure supply and mitigate risk.
Serve as a subject matter expert for multiple commodities and businesses across Fresh.
Negotiate with vendors to secure products at sustainable costs while ensuring alignment with company growth and operating plans.
Build and maintain strategic vendor relationships, conducting performance reviews and resolving issues to ensure supply continuity.
Drive process improvements, monitor cost impacts, and provide insights to support merchandise flow and replenishment decisions.
Fostering a high-performing team environment aligned with company values.
What you'll bring:
Proven ability to communicate with influence to include presentation of key initiatives.
Extensive experience in strategic sourcing and supplier relationship management across multiple commodities.
Proven expertise in negotiation strategies to secure sustainable cost advantages and long-term vendor contracts.
Strong knowledge of supply chain management, including direct imports and business continuity planning.
Ability to develop and implement complex sourcing strategies aligned with business growth and operational plans.
Skilled in conducting vendor performance evaluations and driving continuous process improvements.
Demonstrated leadership in mentoring, coaching, and developing high-performing teams.
Commitment to ethical standards, sustainability, and compliance within sourcing operations.

The annual salary range for this position is $90,000.00 - $180,000.00 Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance bonuses. Additional compensation for certain positions may also include :
