Job Title: Key Account Manager
Job Description
The Key Account Manager leads and grows strategic customer relationships across multiple aerospace product lines, with a focus on supporting the electrification of aviation and advanced air mobility. This role plans, implements, and oversees sales and marketing strategies to achieve both short- and long-term financial and strategic objectives in existing and new markets. The position combines business development, contract and sales management, and close collaboration with customers to capture their evolving needs and translate them into profitable growth opportunities.
Responsibilities
Develop and grow assigned key customer accounts across all relevant product lines.
Plan and execute business development activities to expand the customer base and increase market penetration.
Develop and implement strategic marketing and sales plans to capture new business opportunities in both traditional aerospace and advanced air mobility markets.
Recommend product positioning and pricing strategies that maximize long-term market share and ensure profitable growth and expansion of products and services.
Capture the voice of the customer regarding future needs and contribute this input to product research and technology roadmaps.
Maintain strong market awareness by monitoring competitor products, sales approaches, and marketing activities.
Participate in trade shows, conferences, and industry events to develop markets, build relationships, and support achievement of business objectives.
Manage commercial and contractual issues with customers, ensuring clarity, compliance, and alignment with business goals.
Ensure adherence to mid-term plan budgets, including non-recurring funding, sales volumes, price updates, and cash-flow targets through effective accounts receivable management.
Coordinate sales administration activities so that the booking plan aligns with the sales plan and demand forecasts are accurate and timely.
Ensure that all executed customer contracts comply with agreed terms and conditions.
Lead and manage the quotation process for technical changes, including requirements analysis, cost estimation, business plan preparation, internal validation, and negotiation strategy definition.
Negotiate commercial and contractual aspects with customers in collaboration with internal stakeholders such as program management, legal, and finance.
Establish, nurture, and maintain strong relationships with customers and key strategic partners.
Adhere to safe work practices and actively support the evolution of health, safety, and environmental programs and culture.
Ensure compliance with applicable trade and export regulations.
Work additional hours as needed during peak business periods.
Perform other related duties as assigned to support overall business objectives.
Essential Skills
Proven experience in key account management, sales, or business development, preferably in aerospace or complex technical systems.
Demonstrated ability to build and execute effective marketing and sales plans aligned with strategic objectives.
Strong customer relationship management skills, with the ability to nurture long-term partnerships.
Experience handling commercial and contractual matters, including negotiation of terms and conditions.
Ability to manage quotation processes involving technical changes, cost estimation, and business case development.
Solid understanding of complex aerospace systems or similar advanced technologies.
Strong leadership capabilities with the ability to influence cross-functional teams.
Excellent communication and negotiation skills, both written and verbal.
Ability to analyze market trends, competitor activities, and customer needs to inform strategy.
Capacity to manage multiple accounts and projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines.
Willingness and ability to travel up to 50% domestically and internationally.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Background or experience in aerospace electrical and power systems, including power generation, distribution, conversion, or electric propulsion, is highly beneficial.
Experience working with traditional aerospace customers as well as advanced air mobility stakeholders.
Familiarity with strategies and technologies supporting carbon-neutral aviation, including electric and hybrid-electric aircraft.
Comfort working within organizations that follow trade and export regulations.
Ability to represent the company at trade shows, conferences, and industry events in a professional and engaging manner.
Adaptability to work during peak periods that may require extra hours.
Strong analytical and strategic thinking skills to support long-term business planning.
Work Environment
This role involves a dynamic mix of office-based work, customer site visits, and attendance at trade shows, conferences, and industry events. Travel is a significant component of the position, with up to 50% domestic and international travel expected. The environment is fast-paced and growth-oriented, with a strong focus on innovation in aerospace electrification and advanced air mobility. Collaboration with cross-functional teams such as programs, legal, finance, and engineering is frequent. During business peaks, additional working hours may be required to meet customer and business demands. Relocation support is available, including a relocation stipend for eligible candidates.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $40.00 - $80.00/hr.
