The Office of Juvenile Justice is seeking a highly organized, efficient, and proactive Administrative Assistant 5 to support the dynamic work of our Human Resources Department. Reporting directly to the HR Director, this role is perfect for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, manages multiple responsibilities with confidence, and brings professionalism to every interaction.
As a key member of the HR team, you'll serve as a central point of communication for staff, applicants, and stakeholders while helping keep our operations running smoothly behind the scenes. Minimum Qualifications

Four years of experience in administrative services.
EXPERIENCE SUBSTITUTION:
Every 15 semester hours earned from an accredited college or university will be credited as six months of experience.

Job Duties and Other Information
Job Duties:
Manages daily administrative tasks- Answers calls, communicates with staff and stakeholders, processes paperwork, and handles mail.
Maintains records & documentation- Organizes files, prepares reports, and manages employment and public records requests.
Serves as primary timekeeper- Processes CATS entries, paper timesheets, payroll reports, and secures payroll records.
Handles COPE & risk testing- Manages COPE testing requests and administers risk assessment testing.
Maintains file room operations- Organizes, secures, and keeps personnel files and HR work areas clean and functional.
Supports special projects- Assists leadership, coordinates screenings, and completes delegated assignments.
Handles purchasing tasks- Prepares 156-Bs, codes expenses, and maintains purchasing documentation.
