Job Title: Accounting Specialist

Position Summary

We are seeking a detail-oriented and dependable Accounting Specialist to join our team in Elkhorn, WI. This position is responsible for supporting day-to-day accounting operations, ensuring accuracy in financial records, and assisting with reporting and administrative processes. The ideal candidate is organized, analytical, and thrives in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.

Key ResponsibilitiesAccounting & Financial Operations

Process accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions

Reconcile bank statements, credit card accounts, and general ledger accounts

Prepare and post journal entries

Assist with month-end and year-end closing processes

Maintain accurate financial records and documentation

Support budgeting and financial reporting efforts

Assist with audits by preparing schedules and supporting documentation

Monitor vendor accounts and resolve discrepancies

Administrative & Operational Support

Maintain organized financial and administrative filing systems

Assist with data entry, reporting, and document preparation

Support payroll processing or collaborate with payroll provider as needed

Respond to internal and external inquiries regarding financial information

Coordinate with vendors, clients, and internal departments

Assist leadership with special projects and process improvements

Qualifications

Associate or Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (or equivalent experience)

2+ years of accounting or bookkeeping experience preferred

Strong understanding of basic accounting principles (GAAP knowledge a plus)

Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Sage, or similar ERP systems)

Strong Microsoft Excel skills

High level of accuracy and attention to detail

Excellent organizational and time management skills

Ability to handle confidential information with discretion

Strong communication and problem-solving skills

This is a Permanent position based out of Elkhorn, WI.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $23.00 - $25.00/hr.

Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
