Adecco Healthcare & Life Sciences is assisting our client hire a Medical Assistant in Mount Kisco, New York! This role is in person / on site. Please review the details below and apply with an updated resume.

Position Type : Four-month contract, opportunity for extension

Schedule : Monday through Friday - 8am to 5pm

Pay : $21.20 to $24.20 per hour, based on experience

Responsibilities of the Medical Assistant :

· Prepares exam rooms by disinfecting, stocking, and verifying appropriate medications are available

· Greet patients and assist them with signing in and completing paperwork

· Answers incoming phone calls in a courteous and prompt manner

· Assists and accompanied patients to exam rooms

· Interviews patients and records information into the medical record

· Measures, collects, and records of patient vital signs

· Performs basic lab testing and other approved tests

· Prepares specimens for transportation to the lab

· Assists in examination and treatment of patients under clinician direction

· Places to follow-up phone calls to patients

· Performs other duties as required

Qualifications of the Medical Assistant :

· High school graduate or GED equivalent

· Active Medical Assistant certification preferred

· Experience with vital signs and basic lab tests (urinalysis, pregnancy tests, etc.)
