What You'll Do
As a Controls Technician, you'll play a key role in installing, commissioning, and troubleshooting advanced automation systems. Depending on your experience, you'll either build your skills alongside higher level techs or take the lead on projects in the field.
Core Responsibilities
Install and wire control panels, PLC systems, and automation equipment
Support startup and commissioning of PLCs, HMIs, drives, and instrumentation
Troubleshoot and resolve electrical, mechanical, and software issues to reduce downtime
Perform preventive maintenance, inspections, and calibration of sensors and devices
Read and interpret electrical schematics, layouts, and technical drawings
Modify and develop PLC and HMI programs based on project requirements
Collaborate with engineers, operators, and customers to optimize system performance
Level-Based Growth Opportunities
Level 1 (0-2 yrs): Learn in the field, assist higher level technicians, develop troubleshooting skills
Level 2 (2-5 yrs): Work independently, own troubleshooting and field execution
Lead Tech (5+ yrs): Run projects, lead teams, coordinate crews, and serve as the onsite expert

What You Bring
Experience with electrical systems (AC/DC circuits) and industrial automation
Hands-on troubleshooting experience with PLCs, drives, and control systems
Ability to read schematics and technical documentation
Experience with PLC/HMI programming (level-appropriate)
Strong communication and problem-solving skills
Willingness to travel and work a rotating schedule
Preferred Experience
Data center or mission-critical facility experience
Work in large-scale logistics, manufacturing, or fulfillment environments
Experience coordinating with electricians or field crews
Exposure to Building Automation Systems (BAS)
Leadership or mentoring experience (for higher levels)
Location Requirements
Must live within ~90 miles of a company office in:
Indiana | Ohio | Virginia | Washington State

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $62400.00 - $93600.00/yr.
