We are seeking a strategic and dynamic creative Account Manager to lead all aspects of key business partnerships within our creative team. In this role, you'll serve as a trusted advisor and project management (PM) lead, responsible for connecting creative capabilities with business needs-ensuring outstanding delivery across creative projects.
This role will lead and inspire a dedicated team of PMs and will be pivotal in fostering relationships with a business unit while ensuring business goals, priorities, and critical metrics are met through effective planning, project management, communication, and cross-functional collaboration. You will lead by example, maintaining strong relationships with partners while ensuring the successful delivery of all projects.
We need someone who will understand the account's goals, roadmaps and desired outcomes, successfully lead PMs to prioritize and deliver on those goals and initiatives, and proactively plan future work, all while building relationships and managing partner expectations.
Key Responsibilities **:
Client Partnership & Relationship Management:**
Serve as the primary liaison between the creative team and assigned business unit(s), providing consistent communication, proactive support, and clear expectation-setting.
Build deep, positive relationships with internal partners by understanding their business objectives and aligning creative solutions to drive success.
Lead the onboarding and integration of new partners into the creative organization, ensuring a seamless experience.
Find opportunities to expand the value and influence of the creative team by delivering insights, solving challenges, and anticipating future needs.
Program & Project Leadership:
Lead all aspects of the strategic execution of high-visibility creative programs and projects, ensuring that priorities, timelines, and budgets align with business and marketing goals.
Translate complex, multi-channel initiatives into clear project scopes and resource plans in collaboration with project managers, creative leads, and operations.
Drive clarity in how work is planned, tracked, and measured-owning overall account health, delivery performance, and partner satisfaction.
Monitor critical metrics, report progress to leadership, and adjust plans to ensure continued alignment with business priorities.
Team Leadership & Development:
Support and mentor a hard-working team of project managers, ensuring they are equipped to lead day-to-day operations and partner needs.
Promote a culture of accountability, ownership, and continuous improvement within the team.
Partner closely with cross-functional team members across brand, marketing strategy, creative, and operations to ensure smooth collaboration and delivery.
Ensure consistency in creating and following standards, processes, and workflows
Business Engagement & Operations:
Work closely with leadership to align account and project management practices with overall creative and business goals.
Lead quarterly and monthly business reviews to evaluate business account processes and tools, identify areas for improvement and implement solutions to improve operational efficiency within the account.
Partner with the operations and finance teams to understand account budgets, forecasts, and resource utilization.
Minimum Requirements/Qualifications :
Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, communications, advertising, or related field
10+ years of experience in account and project management, ideally within a creative agency, corporate creative team, or marketing environment,
3+ years of direct people management experience with a proven ability to mentor and develop successful teams
Strong understanding of creative workflows, marketing campaign planning and development, and integrated media
Proven ability to lead complex programs across teams, functions, and geographies
Exceptional communication and high emotional intelligence, with a talent for negotiation, influence and conflict resolution.
Strong client relationship management skills with the ability to anticipate needs, provide strategic counsel, solve complex problems and foster trust.
Proven leadership skills, with the ability to motivate and guide a diverse team in a fast-paced environment.
Ability to work swiftly and meet project timelines in a fast-paced creative environment
Agile certification or Agile marketing experience is highly desirable
Experience with project management tools and systems (e.g., Workfront, Asana, Smartsheet)
