Financial Analysis & Accounting Manager
The Financial Analysis & Accounting Manager is responsible for leading the budgeting, financial planning, and accounting functions within the organization. This role oversees the preparation, administration, and control of the annual budget, ensuring alignment with organizational objectives. The manager provides financial analysis and reporting to executive leadership, supporting informed decision-making and monitoring compliance with approved budgets across divisions and departments.
This position also oversees all aspects of the general accounting function, including the development, implementation, and maintenance of the general ledger and accounting records. The role is responsible for designing and maintaining efficient operational procedures that comply with audit standards, strengthen internal controls, and enhance overall process efficiency.
The Financial Analysis & Accounting Manager ensures the integrity and accuracy of financial data across systems and supports the strategic objectives of business units and divisions.
Location: Tewksbury, MA; Remote acceptable
Salary Range: $ 125,300.00 - 165,000 per year plus bonus

Your Challenge
Assists in the development of goals, forecasts, policies, priorities, and procedures relating to financial management, budget, accounting, and/or payroll. (15%)
Monitors and reports performance against plans to ensure that contractual cost and schedule objectives are met. (15%)
Performs complex financial analysis of budgets and schedules needed to meet contractual/project requirements for assigned program or programs. (10%)
Directs fixed asset control and depreciation, accrual to meet anticipated liabilities, preparation of general tax reports, and payable/receivables. (10%)
Ensures that business activities within the area of responsibility comply with relevant external regulatory and/or voluntary codes (SOX, FAR, CAS) and with internal policies and procedures to minimize business risk and to protect the reputation of the organization. (10%)
Establishes system controls for new financial systems and develops procedures to improve existing systems. Assists with the installation and maintenance of new accounting, timekeeping, payroll, inventory, property, and other related procedures and controls. Coordinates preparation of external audit materials and external financial reporting. (10%)
Provides specialist advice on the interpretation and application of policies and procedures, resolving complex or contentious queries and issues and enabling others to take appropriate actions. Communicates the actions needed to implement the function's strategy and business plan within the team. (15%)
What You Bring
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field.
CPA designation or MBA is considered an asset.
7-10 years of progressive experience in finance and accounting roles, preferably within a manufacturing or industrial environment.
Strong experience in financial analysis, budgeting, forecasting, and general accounting functions.
Solid understanding of accounting standards, internal controls, and regulatory compliance requirements.
Experience with ERP systems (SAP preferred) and financial reporting tools.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to resolve complex accounting issues.
Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Strong communication skills with the ability to present financial information clearly to leadership and cross-functional teams.
Proven ability to improve processes, strengthen controls, and enhance financial reporting systems.
