Job Description
Join our dynamic Maintenance team as a 1st shift Industrial Electrician, where you'll play a critical role in maintaining all manufacturing equipment and electrical components within an aluminum processing facility. Bring your hands-on experience from industrial manufacturing environments to ensure efficient operations and minimal downtime.
Responsibilities
Monitor equipment performance, document and evaluate potential problems for root cause solutions and improvements.
Examine workplace conditions to ensure compliance with applicable OSHA standards.
Ensure employees have and use safe tools and equipment, and properly maintain this equipment.
Use color codes, posters, labels, or signs to warn employees of potential hazards.
Establish or update operating procedures and communicate them for employees to follow.
Develop and implement a hazard communication program for hazardous chemicals, ensuring employees are trained on the hazards they are exposed to and proper precautions.
Accountable for all Electrical, Instrumentation Controls, and plant equipment maintenance to ensure minimal downtime.
Respond to breakdowns immediately and/or provide communication for repairs.
Coach operating personnel on equipment capability, limitations, and preventative measures to improve equipment reliability.
Troubleshoot and optimize drives and instrumentation devices such as encoders, transducers, and thermocouples within PLC control circuit.
Run conduit and connect wires to electrical equipment and plant components such as electrical disconnects, transformers, breakers, and a variety of electrical controls.
Essential Skills
3+ years of experience in an industrial manufacturing environment, preferably as a Licensed Electrician.
Knowledge of 480v 3 phase and troubleshooting ability.
Experience troubleshooting industrial maintenance machines and working with Allen Bradley PLCs.
Ability to read and work with electrical and mechanical drawings.
Demonstrated comfort working with the Electrical Safety Code.
Knowledge of pneumatics, hydraulics, electrical controls, and PLCs.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Experience with welding and fabrication is considered a strong asset.
Valid Electrical Journeyman or Electrical Contractor license is preferred.
Skill in troubleshooting, repair, electrical installation, controls, PLC, hydraulics, and press maintenance.

Work Environment
Work in a heavy industrial manufacturing environment during 1st shift (Monday to Friday, 6:30 AM - 3 PM). The facility is non-climate controlled, and efforts are being made to get the site back up and running smoothly.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $32.00 - $36.00/hr.
