Job Title: Global Process Owner (Order to Cash & Record to Report)
Job Description
The Global Process Owner leads end-to-end finance transformation initiatives with a primary focus on Order to Cash (O2C) and Record to Report (R2R) processes. This role drives the design, optimization, and standardization of global finance processes, ensuring they are effectively enabled by financial applications and ERP systems. The position combines strategic process ownership, hands-on financial systems expertise, and cross-functional leadership to deliver measurable improvements in efficiency, accuracy, and financial performance.
Responsibilities
Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather, analyze, and document business requirements for O2C and R2R processes.
Execute process design with an outcome-driven mindset, guiding the finance community toward enhanced operational and financial results.
Translate business requirements into clear functional and technical specifications to support application configuration and development.
Oversee the work of functional subject matter experts to ensure accurate, efficient, and scalable application configuration and development.
Enforce current-state O2C and R2R process standardization and adherence across the organization in alignment with global finance transformation goals.
Identify and prioritize opportunities for process improvements and automation to increase efficiency, improve accuracy, and drive material financial return on investment.
Develop and implement comprehensive training programs to empower users, including creating user-friendly training materials and delivering effective training sessions.
Act as a liaison between business stakeholders and technical teams, ensuring clear communication, alignment of objectives, and timely issue resolution.
Provide regular updates to senior finance transformation leadership and other key stakeholders on project progress, risks, and outcomes.
Lead and manage cross-functional teams involved in finance transformation and system implementation initiatives.
Carry out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with company policies and applicable laws, including interviewing, hiring, and training employees.
Plan, assign, and direct work for team members to ensure project and operational objectives are met.
Appraise performance, provide feedback, and support professional development of team members.
Reward and discipline employees as appropriate while addressing complaints and resolving problems in a fair and timely manner.
Essential Skills
Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, Information Systems, or a related field required.
7+ years of experience in finance, accounting, or financial system implementation, with a focus on O2C and R2R processes.
Proven track record of working with financial systems such as D365, Concur, or SAP in a functional or technical capacity.
Strong understanding of Order to Cash (O2C) and Record to Report (R2R) processes and best practices.
Demonstrated experience leading process improvement initiatives and managing cross-functional teams.
Ability to translate complex business requirements into clear technical specifications.
Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to interpret financial data and identify trends and insights.
Strong project management skills, including planning, prioritization, and execution of multiple initiatives.
Proficiency in ERP tools and related financial technologies.
Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and engage stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Experience in finance transformation programs, including standardization and optimization of global finance processes.
Hands-on experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 (D365) and other ERP platforms.
Background in financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning and analysis.
Experience with financial modeling and preparation or review of financial statements.
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel for data analysis, modeling, and reporting.
Experience in audit, reconciliation, and financial controls environments.
Strong data analysis skills with the ability to leverage insights to recommend process improvements.
Solid understanding of transformation methodologies and change management principles.
Ability to work effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders, bridging gaps between finance and IT.
Comfort working in a dynamic, growth-oriented environment with multiple concurrent projects.
Work Environment
This role operates in a hybrid work model based in Norwalk, CT, with four days per week onsite at the corporate headquarters. The position sits within a growing finance transformation team that is being actively built out, offering the opportunity to help shape processes and ways of working from the ground up. The team collaborates closely with an external integration partner during the transition and implementation phases. The Norwalk office is undergoing renovation, with the team currently located on the 4th floor and scheduled to move to a newly updated 10th floor space. The location is accessible to the South Norwalk train station, and parking expenses are covered. The role involves regular interaction with every function at the corporate headquarters, providing broad exposure to the business and a highly collaborative environment. Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $80.00 - $100.00/hr.
