Director, Finance Business Partner US Customer Planning
Overview
A Finance Director position within US Customer Planning team (Part of The America's), which supports & partners with the EVP (and their team) for a key US Accounts. Responsible for ensuring timely execution of Planning, Reporting, and Business Partnering responsibilities. This position will report directly to the VP, Finance Business Partner for Customer Planning.
Role
Drive the customer planning process and all related activities across the account team
Manage/coordinate the budgeting, forecasting, planning, and monitoring needs for the account lead and team. Responsible for the production of financial reporting of all business activity, revenue streams, budget utilization and cost allocations
Manage all financial inputs for objective setting, SIP targeting and compensation measurements as part of annual business planning process
Participate in the creation, review and approval of business development proposals to ensure the sustainable, profitable growth of the Customer P&L. Activities include:
o The development/review of business cases and financial models
o Provide training and consultation to account team on business case and financial model best practices
o Perform monitoring and conduct periodic audits of performance results for all active business agreements
o Participate in finalizing business contracts
o Direct customer interaction as required
Responsible for all monthly/quarterly reporting deliverables: including performance tracking against plans, quarterly reviews, incentive variance analysis, revenue analysis, risk and opportunities analysis, pending deals updates, track performance against key joint and strategic initiatives, etc. as well as the monitoring (periodic audits) of performance results for all active business agreements
Provide team measurements, analytics and reporting to US Finance, Account team and other MC constituents as appropriate
Motivate, inspire, coach, and develop staff and ensure team is providing needed financial support to account team
All About You
Bachelor's Degree in Finance or related discipline
Demonstrated finance and/or general management experience preferably with a solid understanding of the payments industry
Capability to provide a balanced perspective from both a customer/CAM perspective and a finance organization perspective
Excellent analytical and problem solving skills; highly proficient using MS Excel
Strategic planning experience
Negotiation capabilities
Possess strong relationship management skills:
o Internal advocate for account team and customer to ensure that the organization is responsive to needs of customer
o Proactively builds and develops key relationships
o Understands the diverse needs and objectives of various stakeholders
Demonstrated understanding of key business fundamentals including political, financial, business and regulatory environments of the customer organization; as well as drivers of financial health of customers and Mastercard

In line with Mastercard's total compensation philosophy and assuming that the job will be performed in the US, the successful candidate will be offered a competitive base salary and may be eligible for an annual bonus or commissions depending on the role. The base salary offered may vary depending on multiple factors, including but not limited to location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
